Help please- Inventor w/ a product research question regarding landing a fish....
Being close to someone else on the path between "A-Ha!" and 'in stores', I can empathize with you and those frustrated by your questions. I'm guessing that if a problem does need solving, it may not be huge among bass fishermen. At least not yet. Most of the stuff we buy, we didn't know we needed it until someone told us we do. Good luck, Kevin.

Question about boat storage...
'little farther' might be well worth it, if cost isn't much greater

Question about boat storage...
Call around. Some storage places have a limited number of electric hook-ups, even if not advertised.

Tackle box questions
I like this. Never considered it, but makes a ton of sense. I've tried to organize by....well, doesn't matter....never seems particularly organized.

Baitcaster Troubleshooting
What kinds of reel? Is it new? Used? Recently maintained, or otherwise opened up? Hard to imagine that braid with backing is still slipping, or digging so much as to be noticeable. Unless, you possibly spooled it particularly 'loose'. If you spooled up with any tension at all on the incoming line, I doubt it's slipping or digging that much, but entirely possible, I suppose. I, most respectfully, disagree with this....all of it...except that part about braid ok for frogging.

How many of you use more than 3 rods consistently on a kayak?
4... Sometimes 5. Rarely the same 4, however

Rod Shipping - HOLY COW ! UPS wanted 119 bucks
Do you Merrylanders have an annual fishing flea market up there? Somehow, I completely missed the NOVA one this year. I blame @dave

I think without the wrist brace, you're ok....just don't tell them that you've got jarts in the basement

DIY Kayak Seat
I am whatever you call the opposite of a DIY'er....but, my boat throw-cusion tossed onto my yak seat is a winner!

New Reel Advice
I have mostly Daiwa baitcast reels. I've also got Lews, Pinnacle, AG and Quantum. If I was shopping today, I'd look at getting another Quantum Smoke 100. I don't know that they're head and shoulders above other reels at their price point, but they are comparable. They fit me well. Bonus is that I keep finding them on sale. I've paid from $74 to $115 for the four that I own. Feels like I stole them. Never had the slightest problem with any of them and they dial in as well as any.

If You Could Only Have 5 setups
Good answer. I have dozens of rods. But, if in a kayak, I generally take no more than 5. Problem with answering this question is that it is always a different 4 or 5, depending on conditions I expect to face. Here's the thread mentioned above:

Leader for Yellow Braid
I wasn't either. So, as I sat with my wife watching TV a couple nights one winter, I just practiced tying and re-tying knots (Alberto, as well as SD Jam and a couple others.) Didn't cut into time doing anything important, and I became fairly proficient....My winters are a touch more tolerable when I feel like I'm doing something to support my fishing

Leader for Yellow Braid
Leaders. sorry...smartazz force in me is very strong. I'm not in the camp that fish are line-shy (most of the time?) But, I still use leaders for other reasons: abrasion resistance, breakoffability, and saving on braid, are the bigger ones

Stick bait is floating
Why kosher or 'cheese' salt? Just curious what's the drawback of using table salt?

NEW KAYAK VIBE - What to Add on it?
Amazon Prime. In fact aside from Amazon, tacklewarehouse and smallbatchcigars, I'm not sure I couldn't go through life without using another retailer....maybe gas and groceries, I guess..

NEW KAYAK VIBE - What to Add on it?
Same here. In fact, I have had two of them for years - I keep my wife's and my yaks stored on them year round in the back yard of our townhouse. I have lost one of the clip ends on the enclosed strap for one of the carts -- my only issue. Very happy with this buy.

How Much Battery?
A couple years ago, I switched from Walmart Everstart 27's to Interstate 24's for my rental boat use. Much lighter and, Bonus!...They last longer. Peace of mind; and my back thanks me. I'd say that if you keep Interstate 24 Marine on charger when not in use, you'll have no trouble going 4+ hours at continuous mid-speed....

Donating Gear
I remain involved with Heroes on The Water, and I think your local chapter might be interested. As far as youth, I have donated to Tackle the Storm in the past, but I'm not sure if they're still an active charity. You could send a note to Don Barone and see if he's still accepting and donating gear to kids; "don dot barone @ tacklethestormfoundation dot org "

Does Mega Strike and other attractants actually work?
I don't recall Megastrike (reg.) having any scent. It may, but that's not why I use it. I believe that Bobby U is on to something with the Amino Acids he uses in Megastrike. I'm not convinced that it attracts fish to bite --- But, I am 100% convinced that fish that do bite, are generally more reluctant to let go.

Braid to leader issue
I, too, use Alberto without problems. Maybe too obvious, but double check the tag on the fluoro -- doesn't take more than a mm or so of 20# flouro sticking out from a knot to catch on the guides.

Megabass Lures
@Ratherbfishing, it maybe be slightly easier to comprehend when you consider that the lures mentioned most in this thread, a popper and a jerk, are generally less likely to hang than most others. (Doesn't mean I can't put one in a tree....the dry kind...lost a nice LC a few weeks ago about 20 feet over my head.)
