We go there twice a year and we love it. I think it's the most beautiful lake in Missouri. Just our opinion. We did real good on smallies the last time.

Yea I am retired and it makes it a lot easier for me. Most of my buddies are still working whuch makes it harder to travel. Sometimes the " warden", lol, comes along. Whoever goes with, we normally have a great time. Don't allways catch the big uns, or the numbers but we usually do ok.

Hey riskkid2. How long have you lived in Nashville? I was stationed at the Air Force base in Smyrna back in the sixties.. Just south of Nashville. Now it's an Army base I think. I passed thru there a few years back and didn't recognize the place. No one I talked to remembered the Air Force Base. It was kind of erie. Sure showed me how old I was.LOL I really liked Nashville. I completely agree with you Procrafter. That's a grteat way to put it in perspective. We are trying to find a place to sleep. I have relatives in Huntsville. We might stay there if all else fails.

I am looking for someone to travel with to Wilson Lake, Al for the road trip. I can drive or ride along. Willing to split expenses. I can take my boat or not. I am a relative new member and would really like to go to this event and meet some other members. Thanks, macmichael
