  6. We were out of town in Dallas when I had front end problems. I took my truck to a suggested front end specialist. He told me there were 2 kinds of front ends on my vehicle. Of course my was the one that cost the most money to fix. He must have thought I had sucker written on my forehead because of my out of state plates. We got into a big argument and I left him with something on his head, a large red mark.

  13. Well we made it back from Guntersville. Sorry to say we didn;t catch a single fish. I got a total of 3 strikes in 2 fishing trips. We couldn't get to the lake until mid afternoon and only got to go twice.. Although no fish we had a wonderful time. Got to fish and visit with my relatives from Huntsville, get a beautiful view of the water, and met some very nice folks. Just getting out on the lake was a treat for us. Especially me. If I catch fish, fine, if not that's all right as well. Can't wait to go back again. Thanks Coots for all you help bud. PS: I have to tell you this story. As usual I got hung up in a small brach of a semi submerged tree in about 4 feet of water. I trolled over there and got as close as possible. I had to reach down about a a foot of water to get my lure. Yepper. I fell in. LOL. Man that water was cold at first but after a few seconds it felt pretty good at 57 degrees. After everyone realized I was ok we laughed till we cried. Oh by the way, this wasn't the first time I took a dip unexpectedly and I guarantee it won't be the last. :)
  14. Bought shares of Netflix. Rode it to a nice $5000 profit. Sold it. Wish I still had it. Normally I buy high and sell low. lol
  15. I fish for and eat crappie and blue gill. I fish for big blues and only keep some under 10 pounds for eating. Bass. Oh my. The bass is the biggest challenge, the premier fresh water fish. The tournaments are excellent, the pros are well worth watching. I just love the fight and the thrill. It's like deer hunting. You've got to figure out their feeding patterns, what they hit on, their cover, deep or shallow water, retrieve speed, color of bait, and of course I just love telling people I have a bass boat. One other reason is that you can catch and release so someone else can have a chance to catch one. I absolutely love it.
  16. I feel the same way. I have caught many a big fish in private ponds. It feels great but it does seem less significant.
  17. Dynamite works well for me. LOL. Just kidding of course. I'm way outta my league on this forum. But man oh man have I learned a lot. It has been one of my best resources. I'm just grateful that so many share so much. I do try a lipless crank for searching.
  18. We are so excited we're leaving tomorrow instead of Thursday. WOO HOO!!!!! Just think, this time tomorrow I'll be fishing Guntersville Lake. I have never been so excited about a fishing trip in my whole life. Thanks for all the incouragement.
  19. Although it"s great to catch big fish, I'm just happy to catch fish. Do you consider a 5 pound bass caught in a pond the same as one caught in a big lake or reservoir?
