  1. Have the SS for my cranks, it's quiet and smooth. Just received the Tournament MG it's also quite and smooth, it has the clicking drag and spool tension knob. I'm really starting to become a big Lew's fan.
  2. Let's see, a nice $130 (subtract the 60 carry the 1) reel for $70... Jump on it I sure did. I Ordered it from Gander MTN plus no shipping or tax. Win win for me. It's a very nice reel. I started turning into a Lew's fan when I bought my first one a SS, and I got that for $69 from Tackle Warehouse who sold it $10 cheaper than anybody else plus back then Lew's had the $20 rebate special.
  3. Caught a few in late October, but nothing in November. Already started taking my reels of of my rods for cleaning and maintenance, and looking for baits to buy for next season.
  4. Yeah, I hear what your seeing. Up here the State record is 10 1/4. Pretty much everything will be under 10 lbs 99% of the time NLMB wise.
  5. I bought 12# flouro for something else. When I got home I realized I didn't need it for that something else, and decided too make a dedicated flip and pitch set up for "light and medium cover". Well I guess I'll have to go to Dicks tonight and make an exchange. It's actually Suffix Invisiline Flouro, and how is that in a 17#?
  6. You mean a couple of more tens.
  7. I'm not talking about weed mats and pads I have 50# braid and a 7:1 on a heavy for this. I'm gonna use a MH/F with a 6:1. Thinking more like lay downs, stumps, rocky areas, and grassy areas.
  8. Any issue with it in light to medium cover?
  9. Check out Gander Mnt, and see if they have them on sale. Just received my Tournement MG. An $130 reel, got it on sale for $99, and with the rebate $69. Plus no shipping and no tax. You just can't beat it.
  10. No not really, she knows where all my gear is now... The pitbull is guarding it.
  11. Was talking to the wife last night about how much plastics and extra lures I have laying around (like she's interested). Anywho I just threw it out there that since the laundry room is unfinished and the studs are exposed on one side, that I should put up some peg board in the laundry room so I can hang all the baits up and keep them organized. I figured she would come at me with a "NO, I don't want all your fishing crap hanging around." To my surprise she said "Great as long as you get the bare studs covered I don't care what you do." WINTER PROJECT !!! WOOT WOOT!
  12. (Cut scene to bass): I don't eat jigs often, but when I do I eat Sieberts.
  13. Mike's jigs are so good, bass can't wait to get stuck.
  14. It's definitely universal. Up here its also 6# in the lakes I've fished, but they usually tell me it's somebody they know that caught the "6lbr". I've only caught 2 and a half lbrs or Les in these lakes so far. In one lake I know there is a 5lbr because a guy next to me caught one during the Spring, and I weighed it for him.
  15. Hmm. Good to know. Might come in handy when the Zombie Apocalypse approaches.
  16. Yeah, a little pricey. I just need something that will put me in the ball park.

    ^ Good stuff right there
  18. What type of scale is this?
  19. Would be a better idea if I was in Washington or Colorado.
  20. I've used them this year in the Spring... then lost them this year in the Spring. Didn't get to use them long enough to catch anything, but they are nice. I'm gonna be making a giant order this month or next month for next season, and getting me a little of everything he's got.
  21. Maybe those aren't bass, could be pickeral or pike. There are plenty of times I had Pickeral hit my frog and take it down and spit it. You can tell the difference between a Pickeral and a bass strike.
  22. Anybody know where to get a scale to weigh sinkers or jigs? I have bullet weights and don't know their weights. Thanks

For me the Rage Chunk, and the Space Monkey has worked. Haven't tried the Zoom lizards yet, but what I've seen and read is that they are more of a Spring - early summer bait. Well give them a try next year. The Space Monkey had also worked for me in the Spring, and early summer in Green Pumpkin Red Flake, Rage Chunks in Black/Blue Flake or Blue Craw.
