After doing some research(which I should of done originally),I think it's a Warmouth.

...if this is a small mouth or not. It has the red eyes, and I think the fin placement is correct. The only thing that looked odd was the spots almost like a spotted bass. Somebody on here mentioned that out looked like a war mouth, whatever that is. Sorry for the bad handleing for some reason my wife couldn't wait for us to display the fish correctly to take the picture. By the way my son caught it on his Spiderman fishing combo.

...I didn't . We went back to the resiviore this evening around 6p, and I decided to just use senkos and nothing else just so I can try to get the stink off me...That didn't work got hits but no takers. I think my hook might of been to big or just smaller fish were trying to take it. Was using a 3/0 offset worm hook and a 5" Senko. There was'nt alot of time either it was getting dark, but my son on the other hand... He's gonna have to give me lessons 2 Smallmouth or maybe rock bass?, and a Perch (Not sure if the last 2 are smallmouth they didnt look that green in person, but did have the red eyes so correct me if I'm wrong). Also was trying to teach how to hold the fish. My wife was taking the pictures, and for some reason she could'nt wait for us to hold the fish correctly or the pictures, and don't mind my son he was making faces.

Would you use the Whacky Rig on spinning gear or casting gear.

When you say T rig a Senko do you mean a regular stick Senko or a ribbon tail Senko?

This was actually after work from 6:30 til 8p. A lot of activity on the water, but looks like the bass are still bedding and just striking out of aggression if you can get them to do anything.

Noticed a lot of panfish, plus allot of top water splashing and fish maybe bass leaving the water.

That's actually the North Haledon Reservoir or as it is now called the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve. This is on the Ewing ave side of the resi.
