Let the frogs fall from a pad in some of the open spots, and watch the water show. Also swim them on the edges of pad field you'll get some wicked blow ups.

Nice fish, that hook looks like a ewg worm hook, and you caught with an orange rage bug. Interesting color choice.

Went but it was pretty much dead, no activity at all. Went up to Rockaway to a large pond had some good top water frog fishing. Had some blow ups, and caught two pickeral.

Being in the strike zone longer is also trying to keep your deep diving crank bait down to a certain depth longer after it dives and before it comes up, but a drop shot works in various depths and kind of just hangs or sits where you put it. There's guys on here that are way more experienced with this technique than I am, bus that's just the jest of it

That would be called dead sticking, or if your use a drop shot it just sits there, giving it minor twitches.

I'm surprised the frogs have been working over here up North also. This might be the frogn' year. Nice pig.

The flu, and that was this past winter. I haven't caught anything big shoo far this year... it blows.

Oh, and I think Live Target has a different types. I have one of their koppers bullfrog walking frog. I'm gonna try that one next time I hit the greens.

Zoom Horney Toads, Booyah Pad Crashers, Ribbits, KVD Sexy Frog, Spro (don't know if that's how you spell it) Rage Tail Rage Toad to name a few. The Zoom, Ribbits, Rage Toads are plastics, and I think the other ones are hollow bodies. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

Went out to one of the reservoirs on Saturday with the family. Went to the office to get the special permit, and who do I see plastered over the wall... Mitch G holding up pigs, and I was like I found his secret spot. ;-) But I digress. So it was uneventful, left for lunch, and after hit a nice pond/lake. I noticed both ends of the water Lily pads and I'm thinking frogs. Tie on a bullfrog Zoom Horney Toad, and obviously so did this other guy that was there he had a Booyah Pad Crasher set up. No sooner the frogs hit the water blow ups every where I had three blow ups but they spit the hook, I think I have to work on setting hook I think, but anyway the other guy freaking pulls in a 5lb pig while I was walking past him trying to get to another patch of pads. I had to help him remove the lure because he was shaking, and had her stuck good. He asked me to take a picture with his phone so he could get a good pic with size comparison. He was a real nice guy....anyway all I had was 2 pickeral to show for the rest of the day, but I didn't get skunked. Next time I'm bringing my heavy/fast rod to fight these pads.

If I caught something that big, I would probaply need a cig afterwards... I don't even smoke.

How are the Zoom Ol Monster worms, just bought 2 bags of 10 1/2. I really want to concentrate on plastics, irritate some bass.

Yeah this is his first one he caught last week. Looks smaller than the new one.

Tell me about it, I get kind of frustrated when he's catching every bass on a dinky reel and pole combo on small crappie jigs, and I can't even get a bite with my quasy fancy gear. Then I start thinking, try a smaller bait and slow it down, which actually worked got a nice hook up, but spit the hook when I got him close to the bank. I still get happy for him when he hooks up because he gets so excited, and has this huge smile on his face. That's what it's all about.
