  1. Just purchased....lol. Picked up white and mealworm.
  2. Just to let you know I finally picked up a properer Ultra Light setup. Daiwa Presso Spin Rod, Shimano Stradic ST1000FJ, and 4lb Fluoro. Huge HUGE difference in performance.
  3. Oh wow check out those little gems, thanks for posting
  4. It could have just been one of those days man, we all get em'.
  5. So I removed the barbs and lost every trout I caught....lol. Now I have two sets of hooks, barbs for when I want to keep them and barbless for when I reach my limit.
  6. Like he said, IMO : )
  7. Oh big difference. Refer to Buzz Baits advice.
  8. They look sick man, I'd love to own one. Unfortunately the price was about a grand to much for me : (. I went with the Jackson Big Tuna and have been very very happy with my purchase.
  9. First off you really really need to get your fishing license otherwise your at risk of losing your fishing equipment if you get stopped. With license in hand I would go back to the spot you were fishing without bringing other friends with you unless those kids are apart of the subdivision that is aloud to fish there. From your story it seems like people in the community gave you permission to fish not you and your buddies.
  10. You've been having a really slow season so far right? I can't remember if it was you that was catchn a few dinks here/there and your son was outfishing you? Anyways dude Congrats, that video was awesome! Now that you've gone mobile a whole slew of spots will be open to you! Here's to a year of PBs!!
  11. Ooooo I see what you did there, lol
  12. Pics of the girlfriend jumping in or it didn't happen....Sounds like an eventful first outing man and you landed 2 Lmbs. Goodjob and Goodluck on your future fishing adventures!
  13. Shimano Compre 6'8. It's a little large for my application but it works.
  14. Heavy Line? If you mean the pre tied line I cut that off.
  15. Yea I'm going to remove the barb from all my hooks at this point. Snelled Single Trout Egg Hooks are basically circle hooks aren't they?
  16. Do you dislike the taste of fish in general? I really enjoy the taste, its very very mild and with some lemon and butter it just makes the taste pop!
  17. Huddleston, nothing else.
  18. Hey Everybody, Recently I started targeting trout and I'm having a blast. I started using rooster tails and inline spinner but I wasn't catching much. I took some advice from another BR member to try using PowerBait Trout eggs on a #10 snell hook. It's non stop action using them. My only issue is I am gut hooking the fish every single time I get one. I reach my limit in less than an hour and have to stop fishing. How do you guys keep from gut hooking trout when using power baits?
  19. Not at all, if all your catching is small fish. If your targeting small lmb then yea your doing something right. Larger fish are much harder to fool. If your catching tons of small fish and no large fish then in my mind it means your fishing a basic presentation that a lot of inexperienced fish are willing to take. I used to catch small lmb all the time until I switched my primary bait and presentation. I started catching less lmb but the ones I did catch were large in size. Quality over Quantity any day of the year IMO.
  20. I caught this big guy in NY, no idea of the weight though. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/126328-estimate-my-bass-weight/
  21. Lol, thanks man. The food was excellent!
  22. Hey guys, Decided to try some new bait out after work today. I hooked up on 4 rainbows within 30 minutes lol! I had a great little outing and nice dinner afterwards : )
  23. When I was a child all I cared about was catching fish, now I specifically target size when fishing for LMB.
  24. Snit happens, circle of life nothing is wasted.
