  1. You need to throw the blade!
  2. ^^^Holy Smokes!! One of the best ones in a while^^^
  3. Or keep googling lake maps and the such; print off a picture. You could even send the pic to Staples and they could print it off in a larger size and better quality.
  4. ^^^Yes, you should have. I like to cast it out, let it hit bottom and work it back to the boat with short hops. And like the op said, don't overfish it. Usually you want a short pull up, just until you feel the bait vibrate, then drop it, let it set, repeat. But as usual, there are no rules so if they want it fished a little more aggressively, give it to em.
  5. We know the same buddy. I can't wait till I can get me some bites with my buddy.
  6. lol...had the son-in-law banged off a tree, the bear definitely woulda caught him.
  7. Dude! What are you talking about? I was out one rainy day with a t-rigged worm, getting a few bites when I got slammed reeling it back in for another cast. I cast out again, no hit on the bottom so started reeling and BAM, another one. I put 2+2 together and just swam the worm the rest of the day and just jacked em. The last thing I would have done is thought about changing baits! Why in the world would you change anything? Just swim the D-Bomb.
  8. What a cool experience!
  9. There might be a pack of hot dogs in the glove box. Wait, that's where the pint would go, nevermind.
  10. I've never fished Moosehead but I know there are smallies in there. There are bass tournaments there so they must be in there. I'd bring senkos, green tubes on jigheads, spinnerbaits, red craw rattletraps and small squarebills (in a couple of different colors). Let us know how you do.
  11. Let's see a Maine Slobosaurus!
  12. I found a 1/2 digested mouse in this guy's mouth.
  13. ^^^I have never been into ice fishing. Something about standing on a huge slab of ice just doesn't do it for me. Not the fear of ice as I used to race on ice; just the fishing isn't the same for me so I don't fish at all and just wait for ice out. It makes it that much more enjoyable for me. I, too, fish until ice in and I'm out as soon as the water is soft enough to launch my boat.
  14. Snook, could the fish actually be there, just not eating your stuff due to so much natural food? When the stripers run up here, I've had days where there were stripers busting all around the boat and we never caught one. I think they are so focused on natural bait they will not eat anything that is not an exact match.
  15. I was wrong once. I thought I was wrong, but it turns out I was right.
  16. I found a good deal on a DualPro 4 bank charger but I only have 3 batteries. Can I just hook up 3 batteries and tape up the last bank?
  17. OK, I'll tell ya one of my secret fall baits....shh now...*looks around*... a blk/blue space monkey on a 3/8 jighead. Smokes em!
  18. For $30, you can't go wrong.
  19. It's good to carry a scale.
  20. That is kool! And to think I have a hard time not getting tangled when my buddy casts a line toward the front of the boat....
  21. If I was rich, I'd be looking at a new GMC or the Tundra.
  22. Thx Dozer. That's what I thought; just makin sure. I've been known to blow things up before....
