  1. Good morning!
  2. ^^^Baby? I was talking about the dog...
  3. Well, after some more reading, I think I'm going with the 790CC from Braun. http://www.braun.com/us/male-grooming/series-shavers/series-7.html I like the one I have, this one just has an updated cutter system and a couple more features. Reviews are through the roof on it. Thanks guys.
  4. So I have a Braun Activator thats about 8 yrs old and pretty worn out. I've replaced the cutter and foil many times but it just doesn't work like it used to. What brands are you guys using these days? Any new technology out? Foil or rotary?
  5. Suspended fish are, absolutely, the toughest fish to catch. They aren't relating to forage or cover; just kinda hanging out. That is the situation you hear about when an angler "waits for them to move up and feed". You basically wait for whatever turns them on, and move up on a point or flat, and start feeding. As far as baits, possibly a suspending jerkbait may stay in their face and trigger a strike.
  6. Well, you know what they say... "Man with hole in pocket feel cocky all day"
  7. Go deep, be patient, have the spinning rod ready with a shakey head/worm
  8. I would think deeper as well. I have found that deep fish are less affected by weather/fronts/pressure than shallow fish are.
  9. X2....I love the "quiet" time away from work/civilization etc...but I also like the anticipation of knowing I'm going out this Sunday, rigging my rods with the baits I think I'll need, and then having to figure out the bite. The best feeling is leaving the lake knowing you figured out how to make them bite that day. Makes my hair stand on end just thinking about it...
  10. I got Nov/Dec issue yesterday. I plan on studying the "jigs" article and having my wife test me on it....
  11. That's awesome man! Congrats!
  12. Did you guys weigh those 2 fish? My God they're both giants!
  13. Well let us know how you do!
  14. What a pie plate!
  15. Good day man! We're going out this Sunday and I plan on throwing the buddy quite a bit.
  16. Have you guys tried throwing a white fluke? That's another of my fall go-to's. I like them on a lightly nose or keel weighted hook.
  17. You definitely have to be careful what you read and where you read it. The articles we read in BM are all about man-made lakes down south in a totally different climate with a completely different set of baitfish. The best thing you can do is just stay in a club as a non-boater and hope you draw a good boater to watch for the day. Learn your area, your baitfish, your crayfish colors per time of year etc...
  18. How bout we just let this one snuff itself out....
  19. I do have a couple of "universal" rods that get almost anything. But I have a couple of rods that I wouldn't throw just anything on; those are my glass cranking rods. I couldn't imagine trying to set the hook on a jig with my glass stick! So I would say that most graphite/composite rods could be used for almost anything but some, like a glass rod, may be limited in use.
  20. Nice job there EX! And a nice report. I felt your excitement just reading it! I'm wicked happy for you. And that fish is a 5 easily, I would guess 6 myself. Congrats and welcome to the dark side!
  21. Blade baits. Here's a couple of threads on them: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/146137-tis-the-season-for-my-buddy-he-is-silver-hes-a-silver-buddy/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/145592-silver-buddy/ And this is a great vid on them too:
  22. I'd be all about a t-rigged worm with a bobber stop to peg. I'd use a straight tail worm instead of a u-tail as the straight tail will fall through grass better.
