  1. We got 28" on the "blizzard", another 8 on friday and scheduled for another 10-12 tomorrow. EDIT: They just upped today to 15"...great
  2. I have to strongly echo this. I was using a small charger/maintainer for years and thought I was properly charging my batteries. I spoke with an Interstate rep and he explained the difference between a car/starting battery charger and a marine/deep cycle specific charger; very different charge profile. I know I bashed Interstate in an earlier post but, with all fairness to them, it may have been my charging habits. But, as humans naturally do, it still left a bad taste in my mouth about them. Back to chargers; once I picked up a dedicated marine on-board charger, my battery life doubled (on the water time). So, if you are using a typical car battery charger, you may be doing yourself and your batteries a big injustice.
  3. The Kinami Flash in Junebug was one killer stickbait. Anyone got some they wanna part with? Any sources for them?
  4. I just pull straight off the reel and go by feel.
  5. Well, I sell Interstate so obviously I have them in my boat now but I'll also be honest with you in telling you I will never run another one. I have had trouble (dead cells) with 3 of them in under 2 years. As the ones I have now go bad, I'll be replacing them with AC Delco. I have an AC Delco as my starting battery and I think it's going on 5 years old now and performs like it was new. Granted it's not cycled like my TM batteries but still. I have also heard good things about the Everstart line from Wally World.
  6. Well, being a family friendly site and all, the "really good" jokes need be personal messaged
  7. Keep in mind that the employees there really don't know how to merchandise very well so be sure to go up and down every single isle; including the saltwater isles. I have found some good bass stuff mixed in with the saltwater stuff.
  8. Definitely a fish I'd like to tangle with! Just don't go looking for them first...
  9. The latest, and of course we have to live in the "white zone"...

I hope it all goes well for you man; I'm sure it will. I had shoulder surgery last January and it's great now. All last season was far better than it had been for years; so glad I had it done. As said above, just a small hiccup. Stay positive and do your PT exercises as advised. I can't stress enough about being religious with your PT.
  11. I have used braid for years and recently tried fluoro on my jig rod. I'm pretty sensitive to changes like that and I'll tell you, the stretch I felt in fluoro was horrible for me. I don't have a very hard hookset and with fluoro it was even worse. I stripped it all off and went back to braid/fluoro leader for all my t-rigged presentations and jigs. That's just me though,,,try it for yourself.
  12. Welcome bro. I used to live in Corpus Christi years ago. Did a lot of speckled trout, redfish fishing. Man it was great! Really started my fishing there. Then my Dad wanted to retire in Maine and that introduced me to Mr. Bass.
  13. Well it's blowing like all getout here and I can barely see across the street. There are spots in my driveway that are completely bare and other areas with drifts up about 2.5-3 feet up the side of my truck; and the storm just started. It should be a good one although I agree with the over-hype of a typical New England " Nor 'Easter". I had to laugh when my wife got home from the supermarket and said the lines were down all the isles. We live in Maine after all and storms like this should be expected. And I agree with A-Jay...you can't put your head in your hands and cry about it, you just bundle up, go snowblow/shovel and deal with it.
  14. ^^Wow! I always thought I wanted a Ranger but I really like the layout and features of that Stratos.
  15. Dang Blue! That thing is sweet! I love the color combo; beautiful!
  16. Funny you mentioned this; I had a stupid good day on a blk/blue chatterbait during a horrible downpour of a day. Fish were very active and the jig was working pretty well so I thought I'd try a faster moving, similar bait and that was the ticket.
  17. All good answers above but I will add not to try and force a particular bite. There are days where a fluke will be the bait and others where they won't look at it. If it's not happening, don't push it; move on and find the bait of the day.
  18. ^^^Man, that was quick...I liked it though
  19. As impressed as I was with the 310, I was equally impressed with the Fenway sweatshirt!!
  20. Nice job brother! I'm on a winter bulk right now as a matter of fact; going good for me so far. I have been lifting for that past 31 yrs and it's definitely a way of life for me now. I had shoulder surgery in Jan 2014 and I'm pretty much fully recovered now; able to press full boat. I, too, urge everyone to get on some sort of fitness program, no matter what it is, just start something. You'll be happy you did. Nice wheels btw
  21. ^^Their flagship store is 15 minutes from me.
  22. This is a tough topic in that different areas of the country require a different grade of glove. At the same time, what is cumbersome to me may be ok to you. But, I like a glove liner such as these: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/60814?feat=liner-SR1&page=men-s-polartec-liner-gloves&attrValue_0=Black&productId=1025464 And this spring I'm going to try a tip I read about putting a latex glove on first, before the outer glove.
