  1. ...they pull you into the Bassmaster Classic arena? I think I'd go with this
  2. This is probably the best use of different colors. Your amber/yellow lenses enhance things in low light. I have Oakleys and like the Fire Iridium lens. It's an amber, contrast enhancing lens. The other good outdoor, contrast enhancing Oakley lens is their G30 lens. This would be good in sunny conditions; and the Fire Iridium in low light. Depending on your eyes, you may be able to get away with the Fire Iridium lens all around.
  3. He's only got 10 yds. Definitely better used to hang up garland at Christmas; strap corn husks to the mailbox around Halloween; hang the bird feeder; repair any cloth item; stretch a span of it across your garage to hang jigheads on when painting them; fix the ping pong table net; practical jokes around the house on April 1st; school projects; and many more Of course I have never done any of these things, just read about them...
  4. Dang AJ! How many days do you have open water up there?
  5. That is bad! I sure hope you have batteries, bread, peanut butter etc... you may be trapped inside for a while.
  6. Darnit! Got 2 tonight: and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L74OkgxwNzA
  7. All good answers above. If I may add a suggestion it would be to try out this setup first, then see what you like to throw on it and what doesn't feel so right. Then buy your 2nd one to fill that gap. Basically, don't buy a rod, then wonder what to throw on it; choose a bait or 2 that you want to throw on a baitcaster then research the best rod for those baits. Most of all, have fun with it and don't get frustrated.
  8. No silly! That's how you get rid of spiders!
  9. It's not nesessisarily planing off; it may just be settling out. If you picture the angle of the prop in the locked position you have it in, it's going to raise the bow on take-off, then as you pick up speed, it will settle in. Without seeing/feeling the boat in the water, I can't tell if it's planed off or not. As far as running it like that, it's not that bad, maybe just lose some MPH and some MPG. If you are pushing water instead of riding up on top, your motor isn't as efficient.
  10. I use the improved clinch on everything. I've had palomars break on fluoro and I've never had an improved clinch fail me yet. For those interested, great site: http://www.animatedknots.com/knotlist.php
  11. I went to using a Mod Albright and it does work just fine. I fish heavily rocked lakes so I need a leader all the time on anything that goes near the bottom.
  12. Yup. Put a 2x4 on the Hotfoot, a couple New York phone books on the seat and he's ready to ride!
  13. Just kidding....welcome brother!
  14. Very nice! You got em on a little bit of everything too. Dang, I'd do just about anything to go fishing right now...
  15. Virginia...I used to live in College Park on Drew Dr when I was like 5 to 11 yrs old. Lots of good times. Did a lot of BMX racing, fireworks, smoked my first cigarettes, a few fights....good times.
  16. It has been a long, hard winter hasn't it....
  17. We have another 18-24 on tap for Sunday. I've had about enough.
  18. Little Timmy was in class one day and just blurted out "I gotta take a leak!" The teacher said, "Now Timmy, that's not how we ask to use the restroom. If you can think of a nice way to use the word "urinate" in a sentence, you may go use the restroom." Timmy thinks for a second and says, "Urinate; but if you had a bigger rack you'd be a 10 ."
  19. I use an old brake rotor. Free at your local auto repair shop.
  20. Oh yes they do
  21. ^^^ It's a Thermo-Dynamics boiler and I just tried it out. Man it's nice to have a hot shower!
  22. We had been having hot water issues for years, getting worse every year. Well, I had enough. I knew it was probably a partially blocked coil but just didn't want to dive into the boiler. I did a little more diag and made sure it was the coil and tackled it today. Before During And after I was pretty happy to see no leaks after filling and firing it up. I haven't cut open the old coil yet to see inside but I plan on doing that. The old one was a little longer but only a single row. The new one is a double row and should give me even more hot water. I didn't mind saving the $400 labor I was quoted but it wasn't only about that. The sense of accomplishment knowing I did it myself and it actually works after....priceless. All in all, just happy to have it done and over.
  23. Brown/orange jig with matching trailer; springtime. I felt bad because it was a CMR tourney and I only caught 5 fish all day but they were all 3 1/2 lbers. They guy who came in 2nd caught the bejeesus outta them but his biggest 5 were smaller than mine by maybe 1/2 lb. Oh well, thats tourney fishing for ya. Man was I stoked tho! The next year I won 3 out of 5 and took AOY for my club. Was pretty happy about that too.
