Best Vocalist Thread
I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier but if any of you are really into vocals (like myself), go on youtube and search "vocals only" and your artist or song. Not everything is in there but the ones that are are amazing. It's just the raw voice and the feeling the artist was feeling when they sang it. Listen to some of Steve Perry (Journey) or Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Heart etc... It will blow your stinkin mind!

Take your time and find the right deal for you. Check it over well before you buy. Impulse buys usually turn out bad.

What's The Best Bass Boat And What's The Best Bass Boat For The Money?
If $ were not an option I would own a Ranger. Unfortunately for me, it is. So, I bought the best value out there and I own a Nitro.

Best Vocalist Thread
Ok, so we've had the best guitarist thread. How bout your favorite vocalists? As in the guitar thread, I think that our own personal genres play a roll in who we choose but there's gotta be a few who stand above the rest. And it's ok to have more than one. For me, in no particular order: Steve Perry Bruce Dickinson Rob Halford Sammy Hagar Those guys are just sick. With an instrument for vocal cords. And don't forget the women. For me there's only 2: Pat Benatar and Martina McBride. What a couple of powerhouses! And yours?

Am I Charging My Batteries Wrong?
I have a 12/24 tm and 2 24M Interstates. I usually fish from 5am to 11am every other Sunday. My problem is that by 10-10:30 on a windy day, I have to be on 5 to move my boat and it will barely move upwind at that. When I get home, I put my batteries on a 1.5A trickle charger and just leave them there until the next trip (it's an automatic charger). Has this pattern put a memory on my batteries? They are 2 yrs old. I have read that they should be charged at 10A to a good boil. Thoughts?

Fluoro...low Stretch??
Thank you for the replies folks. I have 16# Sniper on my jig rod and 12# InvisX on my t-rigged rod. (just because these are the 2 that I had left over from my first go-round with it as I was trying new lines) I'll keep workin it for a while.

Fluoro...low Stretch??
I don't think so. So I have tried fluoro a few times without stellar success. I really had a hard time with it, memory, springy, all the bad stuff you read about, etc... But with all these fluoro threads going around I thought I'd strip off my PP S/S and spool up my jig rod and a t-rigged rod with some Sunline I had thrown in the corner. I will admit that most of my prior issues were reel-setting related. I got them dialed in pretty good and could cast very well with it...heck I almost enjoyed it. The only problem now is, I have been a braid guy for the past 18 or so years; since Spider Wire came out. Now this stuff feels like mush on a hookset in comparison; just so much stretch to it. I honestly didn't think I'd notice this much difference but I guess I was really in tune with my braid. I'll give it a few more outings to see if I come around. I wouldn't mind getting away from the braid/leader thing on these 2 rods. Anyone else think the "low stretch" claims are a little exaggerated?

Old Boat Engines...... Help!!
Slow down folks. The very first thing I would do is to put a liberal amount of Marvel's Mystery Oil into each cylinder, spin it over, let it sit, maybe do it again and then do a compression test on each cylinder. I have bought and sold many cars over the years and have bought some that the owners though needed engines only to find out it had a bad coil or intake gasket etc.... I bought one car that the owners though had a bad cylinder and it was a $2 vacuum hose...ran great. I guess I'm just saying that this prior owner may be wrong in his diagnosis of a bad cylinder so I would verify this before I bought an engine rebuild kit. And even if one cylinder is a little weak, depending how much weaker, it may be fine to just run it the way it is. Just do some more homework before you start disassembly.

Will Missed Bass Hit Again The Same Day?
I think it depends on how long it was hooked for and how hard it fought before breaking or getting off. My buddy broke one off one time and I, jokingly, said "I'll get your fluke back". My next cast at the same stump gets me bit and in the fishes mouth is my buddy's hook, line and white fluke. You see it on tv when the pros are sight fishing, they will hook one 2 or 3 times and still get the fish to bite again right away; other times later in the day; other times not at all. No rhyme or reason to it.

Beginners Luck?
This. And if he does, use it to your advantage. Watch him and see what he is doing different. Don't be stubborn and stick to your non-fish-catching ways. If he consistantly catches more or bigger fish, he's doing something you're not. You should try to learn something, anything, every time you go out.

Whats Your Opinion On Flourocarbon ?
I don't care for it as my main line (too much memory for me) but I use it as leader on everything. I have always used an improved clinch and don't think I've ever had a knot break. I wet it well and snug it down very slowly.

Does Flourocarbon Matter As Much As Companies Say It Does
It's ok and thanks for the tip; I'll always take a lesson! It's like the lines have always wanted to be straight and will not stay in the small coil of the reel spool; they want to return to the larger coil size of the filler spool. Idk, I have half a spool of Sunline Sniper in 16#, I'm 1/2 tempted to try it one more time on my jig rod. And I need to apologize to OP for the hijack! Not intended.

All were spooled like an old school cassette tape...over the outside tops of the spools. One question I will raise though is, when I cast, I usually lightly thumb the spool a couple of times. I have wondered if this may cause the line to spring off the spool. Are you not allowed to do this either with fluoro?

Does Flourocarbon Matter As Much As Companies Say It Does
Oh I know; just havin fun. Hey, if you like it, you like it. I have tried Sunline, Invis-x and 2 or 3 other quality lines and they all did the same thing, which is to just spring off the reel like a slinky that's been wound up real tight, then let go. It would just spring off the reel into larger coils. Idk, they all did the same thing and when I put my 4 year old braid back on, it's smooth as silk again. I'd love to be able to figure it out but I just don't see the point in going through all the rituals that people do just to be able to use this stuff; bring all your rods inside the night before you go out so it doesn't get cold, spray the line as you spool and then every night before you go out, talk soothingly to it before you cast....and the list goes on. Geeze, I've dated women who were less maintenance than this stuff....
