In your range you are obviously looking for a simple display that will give you depth and structure. I am positive that the pmax would suit you just fine with your setup and you would be happy with it as it's very user friendly. A friend of mine uses it on his canoe and it does what he needs it to do. The x-4 is a good unit from what I have heard so I would guess can't go wrong there either .......I am just a "bird" guy! I like the Humminbird displays a lot more. -Lewi

Yes, that lake can be very frustrating and is what makes me keep going back. I always get odd looks from people when I say I was fishing Crystal as they think there is nothing in there, Heck, I accidentally pulled a 36in. Tiger Muskie from it on a DT16 in one of my bass spots! Probably see ya there in the spring, -Lewi

Need, excuse me........want a new Walleye rod. What are you using for vertical jigging lets say 5-18 feet? I know that there can be a lot of personal preferences here but there has to be an average like 6'6", 6'8" maybe longer or shorter. Not looking for something that has to be versatile to other situations just the jigging. -Lewi

If you havent already purchased one yet you need to shoot the bow and decide if YOU like it or not. I didn't end up with what I "thought" I wanted and what was trending when I started looking for another. Long story short, they kinda choose you. Good Luck! -Lewi

So lately my wife has been working a lot of late shifts and the past couple of months she's been carpooling with a male co-worker. At first I didn't mind as it saves gas and in case she has car trouble or something like that, but it seems like they've become a little bit more than friends. You know....the phone calls that hang up, she starts wearing nice clothes to work and talking about him all the time...then abruptly stops leaving an uncomfortable silence. If I'm out in the garage when she gets home (usually after midnight) he just drops her off and leaves, but if the lights are off in the garage and I'm in the house (they think I'm sleeping) they sit out in the car for about 20 minutes. I asked her once what they were doing and she said, "Just talking". Whatever! So, last night I decided to see what's really going on out there. So, I leave the garage door open and turn all the lights off. I go out in the garage and wait. In a few minutes his car pulls into my driveway and as I'm hiding behind some of my hunting stuff the headlights shine through my garage and I see something that I just can't believe. The string on my bow is fraying! Not real bad, but enough. I think I’ll get that replaced!

Minnesotan here! Sorry to say the boat has been put away for the season which is a real drag since i just got at the end of June! Vinny, I do believe that I was out on Crystal in Burnsville while you were there in July/Aug this year and if I remember right you were running the ridge from the island toward the boat launch. Still only get to most of the lakes from let's say 494 and south but would like to start exploring more.

Finally decided that I needed to join this group after "trolling" around for a few months. Managed to spend an hour or more looking at everyone's rigs and there's some, I mean a lot of nice stuff and also a lot of good info. Hope to talk and give sound advice when I am able! Lewi
