Line To Use On A Big Crankbaits Rod
I'm going to be fishing a tournament on Kentucky Lake and I'm gonna be using a big crankbait rod for 5xds to 10xds. What line do you use and what do you suggest using? Thanks!

How Long Does Line Last?
Yes I'm talking about on the reel and thanks for your replies! With braid I can get multiple seasons as well but I mainly use fluoro and that I change the few times through the year.

How Long Does Line Last?
How long does line last you and how often are you using that line? Just curious on how often other people change lines because I average probably 3-4 times per year.

Top Three Things You Should Avoid That Turn Off Bass Strikes?
Bananas and bug spray. I read a bass biology book for a school project and it said DEET which is the main ingredient in bug spray also repels bass. It's the scent that they have been seen to hate the most and they can detect it up to 1 ppm.

Am I The Only One To Throw Jerkbaits Into Cover?
I've read some posts on jerkbait fishing and most people throw them open water around schooling fish. I do this as well and it is very productive, but I also throw them next to trees and grass lines and even stumps and have even more success. I also throw them excessively on rock shore lines and bang them into the rocks. A lot of people say how you're not supposed to lose that many cause it's open water, but I go through quite a bit with where I fish them. Is this just me or are there other people who've had the same success I've had throw of them in cover?

New Person To Bass Fishing
Thanks everyone!! And yeah he has a few different rods he could use that translate from trout fishing. Just 6'-7' medium rods and I'll definitely think about starting with a Senko. That was what I first started with then I'll add in some other baits as well. But thanks again!

New Person To Bass Fishing
My uncle asked me to start him and help him learn how to bass fish. We live in Colorado and he has trout fished all his life but wanted to get started in bass fishing. He has a rod and reel but asked for 3-5 basic lures to use for all summe/year bass fishing. I'm having a hard time narrowing it down given I have so much equipment haha. What does everyone on here think would be best to start with? Thanks in advance!

Spin Reel $150 Price Range
Hands down the best spinning reel for 150 is the Pflueger Supreme XT. It's a great reel and worth much more than the 150 price tag.

Rage Craw Roadkill
By far my favorite color for the Rage Craw and it works amazing!! Sadly it's the only bait Strike King makes in that color. You can check all of the colors on their website in their catalog.

Old Wiggle Wart
Wiggle warts do have a very wide wobble and this does contradict cold water cranking. I can't explain why it works but it's either a super narrow wobble or a wide wobble in the spring from what I've noticed. And the old ones are so much better because they didn't run true and they hunted around in the water. When Rapala bought them they "fixed" them so they ran true and now everyone wants the old ones. I have a few and they are my prized possessions!! Don't ever let yours go!

Dallas Texas Ponds

Dallas Texas Ponds
It's Spring Beak for me and I'm going out to visit Dallas Baptist University (an amazing bass fishing team there) and of course I had to bring my tackle. I'm from CO and not familiar with the area. I'm going out with the DBU bass team one day but will have other days to just hop around. Does anyone have any advice where wood be a good place to shore fish within the Dallas area? Thanks in advance!

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
I've been wanting a rat wakebait/swimbait for a while now but they're so expensive. Anyone tried the new Spro rat yet? It looks good and I'd like to know if anyone's had success with it.

Spinning Reel Suggestions $100 - $150
If you want a really good real for $150 the Pflueger Supreme XT is amazing! I've had mine for 6 years and have caught more fish on that reel than any other. The Pflueger Supreme is also a great reel for $100. I've used both extensively and they are both amazing!

To Any 16 And Younger Wanting A Sponsorship
I'm 16 and have a few sponsors. The reason that I have these sponsors though is way before I went to them asking for a sponsorship I used their product, got confidence in it, until that was mainly all I used. THEN I went to the company asking for a sponsorship. Also, companies have come to me asking to see my resume and sponsor me and I will not say yes until I know their product and have used it to the point i have confidence in it. Yeah it's cool getting free stuff and deals but you have to put in the effort. I work as many shows as I can and promote their product in any way I can. Turst me, I KNOW sponsors want young kids (14-20ish) that are really serious into fishing cause we ARE the next generation of fishing and I have been told that many of times. Although this is true, fishing companies do not want kids who all they think about is free product. That's not how it should work and a sponsor is looking at what you can do for them so make that known to them before you ask for free product.
