  1. I have 4 Jadewoods but not the Crankbait Rod. I really like them. I have the Kovert Crankbait rod. It has a great action and feel.
  2. I am in search of some new insulated lightweight shoes or boots for wintertime fishing trips. Any recommendations or suggestions???
  3. They are about the same. It just depends on the application. If you are going to use it to flip or pitch, I would say get the Silver Max. Like I said, once you get use to the switch, it is a good reel to have. If you are just going to throw anything else, I would go with the Black Max.
  4. I have 2 Black Max reels, 1 silver Max reel, 1 pro max reel and a Revo STX. I have had no issues with any of them. Just periodic maintenance and the keep going and going.
  5. I have 2 Black Max reels and 1 Silver Max. I love the easy of use. The flipping switch took me some time to get use to. You have to be careful to not switch it accidently. It will cause a big bird nest. But practicing helps with that. As far as rods, I had a Veritas 7' spinning rod that worked pretty well. But since I have become a Denali prostaff member, I have switched to the Denali Rods. I have a Denali Jadewood Shakey Head rod that has a wonderful feel. You might want to check them out at www.denalirods.com.
  6. I have the Denali Kovert 7'6" Cranking Stick. I paired it with a Lew's 5.1:1 Reel and it works wonders with mediuim and small crankbaits as well as lipless.
  7. I use the 6'8" Denali Murphy Signature Jerkbait Rod. Great length for that. I have a Kovert 7'6" Crankbait rod that has great feel. You cannot go wrong with the Kovert Series rods.
  8. Depending on your budget, you can spend from $75 to $200 on a good spinning rod. I have used the Veritas, Duckett, and the Denali Jadewood shakey head rod. They have all performed exceptionally well.
  9. Ordering a Denali Jadewood 7'11" Flipping Rod for throwing the Alabama Rig. Will put either Garcia Pro Max or Lew's Tournament Pro with Sufix Braid
  10. I have the Denali Signature Series Jerkbait Rod. It is 6'8" and so far has met the expectations of others comments. Find a Denali Dealer in your area and try it out.
  11. Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craws
  12. I have used the Duckett Rods, Carrot Stix, and others. They are all good. You need at least a heavy action or better yet, a extra heavy in any rod that you buy. I have Denali Rods now and so far, they are great also.
  13. I have fished the BWS (now Weekend Bass Series) for the past 5 years and the BFL this past year as a co-angler. Entry fees are $100. I have gotten a lot of valuable experience doing this. I do not own a boat at this point so these tournaments allow me to tournament fish without owning a boat. Great fun and great people.
