Im "Hooked"
If ya catch fish and have a good time doing it,who cares. senkos are productive baits no two ways about it.I think that allthough they do work, its a good idea to be proficiant with all aspect of fishing cuz some day the senkos might not be gettin it done and if ya wanna boat a fish or two you'll need to be able to figure out what other bait is gonna best fit the bill. Could be working a crank or spinner bait, witch for one I am bad at and I dont want to be bad at working cranks or spin baits. 8-) 8-)

Know your prey !: Bass Senses II
Maybe this is a stupid thought but salt triggers in plastic bait, could there be some amout of slight electic stimulation caused by the plastic and salt? isnt salt a conductor? just a thought : So salt impregnated baits would appeal to the fishes smell, sight, taste and lateral line, also movementent witch is visualy and laterally detected by bass. Just kind of an idea i had by reading your post.

Is your home lake your favorite?
I like it buts its not my favorite. This year its really been producing good fish more than I've ever seen and I've fished it for 20 years. I dunno it must have something to do with the unuasual ammount of rain and the much higher than normal water level.

How Many Fish Do You Lose Each Trip?
When I started wacky riggin with circle hooks I would miss fish cuz I was trying to set the hook to hard.Once I got use to the sorta riding the fish hookset I've lost less fish on them. When I T-rig plastics I use 4/0 or 5/0 Gammy or Matzuno wide gap worm hooks and very rarly miss fish on them, occasionally your gonna miss a fish it happens. I try not too keep track I do like those wide gap hooks, the tru-turn and longer shank worm hooks IMO dont preform as well.

What is a "big bass" in your neck of the woods.
3+4 pound fish would be considered pretty big in Nh.5pounds real big.anything over that HOG. Biggest fish I ever caught was just over 5pounds according to one of those old Zebco springy scales ;D Ya know whats strange I've caught more fish this year in the 3to4 pound range than I can remember, even with this wacked-out weather we've been havin up here.Could be cuz I'm trying some differant things that I've learned, reading this forum 8-) catch a fish for pete's sake...

Sturgeon General Warning:"Senkonlylimitativism"
I tried to stay away from THEM, Used some gateway plastics from time to time(HotRods,Ballbreakers, etc). Then on a recent trip to the Bass shop,I was drawn to a display with Senko seconds 5.19 per bag. Immediatly I made the purchase and drove to the nearest pond. Well,I guess I dont have to go into what happened after that... I feel ashamed :-[ Tried to go cold turkey yesterday, used all my old favorites, with limited success, then there they were, there in the side pocket of my bag.I tied one on and bang my biggest bass so far this year. Is there any hope for me? :-?

Favorite Senko Colors
Any of you folks tried the Hot Tip colors? Northern Bass has the seconds for 5.19 a bag I was gonna pick up a couple of bags. What makes a Senko a second?inconsistant weight, they look the same in the bag.

Weeds?
Some of the best luck i've had bank fishing heavy weeds is with a floating Rapala. Try to hit any kind of pathway or small openings, let it sit a while, then give it some erratic jerks. Like Shad master was saying you will spend a lot of time draggin weeds outta the pond but you'll also catch some bass.

Extreem changes on bedding or near spawn Bass
Alot of you may have heard about the rain and flooding we've had here in the NewEngland area.I was wondering what type of affect wil that have on bedding or close to bedding fish? That really abrupt change in water level and temp. Will the fish just naturaly shut off?and resume when things are better? Could that have an outcome on weather some fish are able to complete the cycle?

Caught without a License
I always buy a license. When I have a license I never see a GameWarden. The day I try to fish without one I'm sure I'll get caught.

Sun Block
Ive also had friends with cancers removed from there noses and scalps. Its not something you want to mess with ,things like that can get outta hand fast..If your on the water alot ,your mega exposed to harmfull sunlight.Long shirt sleeves(lightcolered) and pants, good quality poalrized glasses, hat, and sunblock on the nose and cheeks is a must. Getting a little tan is one thing, protecting yourself from skincancer or even an extreem burn is another.BE SAFE

Fishing in wind!?!?
I like throwin rattle-traps if the wind is pushing the bait fish, toward submerged structure.I',m sure most any cranks will work fine depending on the time of year.
