  1. Awesome, thanks for your help! Do you happen to know if Peninsula State Park has camping areas?
  2. Smallmouth heaven?
  3. My friend and I were thinking about taking our kayaks up to Door County for some smallmouth fishing. Peninsula State Park looks very beautiful, but how's the smallmouth fishing up there? Thanks!
  4. I'm thinking about planning a trip to Burt and Mullett Lakes in Northern Michigan next year around early June, and wanted to find out a bit more about them. My friend and I are going to be on kayaks, and I was wondering if these lakes are too big to even attempt to cover water in search of bronzebacks. We're a couple young bucks who are willing to paddle a bit to get to the fish, but 10 mile runs aren't really something that we'd want to do. We're also interested in camping, on or near the lake. Also, any inside tips as to where the fish are usually located around early June and what types of lures work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. That is very true my friend
  6. I'm guessing I could find the regs for forest preserve lakes online somewhere?
  7. I don't have the guts to venture out on those waters. Too busy and the fishing kind of sucks from my experience.
  8. Well this is a bass fishing forum, so quite obviously I want a rod and reel for bass fishing. I'm looking for something that can do it all, from dropshotting to cranking. See what I mean?
  9. Does anybody know the regulations for kayaks in Illinois waters? For example, can I just take my yak (which already has a 2015 water usage stamp) and drop it in any public lake/river and fish??
  10. Looking for the best spinning combo that will perform proficiently day in and day out, for under $100. Thanks guys!
  11. Thanks for the advice? So you rig it weighless on what size hook?
  12. Yeah, I just have a bunch of soft plastic craw/beaver baits, and wasn't really sure if they would produce in the lakes/rivers/ponds near me.
  13. I mainly fish in the northern states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. I know that the forage is somewhat different than the southern states of Texas, Alabama, etc. A lot of pros on youtube and tv advertise soft plastics that work down in those states, but I'm looking for some soft plastics that will match the forage and work on the waters around me. What do you guys think?
  14. Not even worth replying to this. All I have to say is that I do not appreciate your attitude, which was clearly displayed by your comments on my previous posts. Have a great day bud.
  15. That's not what I asked champ. If you scroll up you'll see that I clearly asked if anyone in northern il knew of some good bass spots. Not once in that post did I mention honey hole. Then Scott F began being a smart ass to me.
  16. I've already found some great spots near me, but real fishermen are always trying to expand their knowledge about fishing
  17. Anyone in northern Illinois know some good bass spots?
  18. Zoom Z-Drop worm. 4 inch bait that has some really slick colors!
  19. What does everyone think of using snaps to quickly switch crankbaits out? There are pros and cons. Some of the cons would be that they could open/bend, and it's just one more thing between you and the fish. Also, some claim that it limits the action of the crankbait. A pro is that you can switch crankbaits out very efficiently, without having to constantly retie. Just looking to get the opinions of those who have used snaps similar to these: http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-FastLock-Bass-Snap/product/7816/ Thanks guys!
  20. I mean I have a 240 cm bending branches paddle. I'm not weak either.
  21. I have. Still don't know what I want to do haha. All I know is that my arms got really tired and I was stressed out...
