Dark water, and lure choice
I like a green pumpkin chatterbait in that color water. Also you will probably find very healthy fish if the water has that color to it

Trout ID and Trout Q's
Definitely doesn't look like a cut bow to me

You might be addicted to bass fishing if...
You are the only one on campus that is awake on Saturday morning You see everyone heading out to party friday night as you are carrying your fishing stuff back to your dorm You have to come up with ways to store waders in a backpack so you won't be judged too harshly Your professor asks "how does vegetation tell us when we are in a wetland?" and you think to yourself "when the plants look like punching material"

My Avatar explained
This photo was taken after a flurry of schooling fish in the winter during the mid 20-teens when my church janitor had asked for some fish. Most kayaks don't have live wells and it's hard for someone to eat a fish if it gets released. I practice catch and release 99% of the time on bass, but there is nothing wrong with that limit of 12-14" fat, cold water herring munchers.

Hello from Virginia
If you are good with a spinning rod, try Anna in the mid to down lake regions. She is very tough, but in the spring that lake can be a blast!

I'm going with cutthroat and splake No such thing as too cold for trout

Big Musky
Measured beside my rod, the fish was 43". I have a feeling that with a proper measuring tape or a measuring board it would have been a couple more than that, but I'm not complaining!

Two Trifectas
My brother and I fished the Mon river in Morgantown, WV yesterday, and in addition to the muskies, we did a little city limits kayak bass fishing! We had to put in a lot of time and effort, 14 hours on the water and 14 bass between the two of us, biggest was a 1.4lb largemouth I caught. What was really cool is that we both landed at least one of each of the main black bass species (spot, smallmouth, largemouth). He had never caught a spot, musky, or freshwater drum before and did that day. Lots of firsts!

I wasn't previously aware of this bait.........My wallet is going to be mad at you pretty soon- Windy Conditions
Spinnerbait!- Bitsy Flip Musky
Fun until he brought 35 inches of ticked off toothy critter into the kayak with him! It thrashed and slipped from his grip. He now has a nice reminder of his first musky on his leg- Bitsy Flip Musky
My little brother drove to Morgantown this weekend to visit (fish) and our goal was to get his first musky. I took him to my spot yesterday evening and this morning, a couple follows but no dice. Today we were fishing a pile of laydowns and he sets the hook on what we thought was a catfish.....the fish jumped and chaos ensued! 12lb mono and a sk bitsy flip with a zoom ultra vibe speed craw!- Spook
I like the super spook jr with the knocker in it. I have one that has absolutely been through the ringer and I'm still catching fish on it. I don't use the super spook or regular spook because I just have never seen a difference there, and the knocker makes the jr really easy to throw long distances. I will occasionally throw a zara puppy for finicky schooling fish, they are not hard to walk if you are fishing 10lb test or lighter.- Colored line
If you are fishing water that isn't gin clear, I'm not sure that green mono vs clear mono vs fluoro would be any different as far as fish caring that it is there.- My mistake on lucky craft from japan
- Targeting sunfish schools with senkos to get the bass below
A senko, in my opinion, is in many cases the only bait that a suspended fish will eat, if presented properly. Sounds like you are in a good situation for one!- With my unused stuff
If you don't find a home for your stuff, I am on the WVU bass fishing team and we will be assisting in a kids fishing event in mid september, we could give the things away at that event.- Replace trebles with singles
Get a rubber mesh net to keep hooks out, they don't stink either. Just man up and hold the fish, if you let it slip out of your hand, or pull your hand away when the fish thrashes, that's when things go wrong.- Big Musky
We have only caught one under 30" and yes he was very evil- Big Musky
Are they as uncommon as a DD largemouth?- Big Musky
I have landed 9. - Explosive strike
