Guys, on first few uses and then it's fishermans fault? That's just not true.... I won't call out company's, but I have had a reel seat / hood break... As a well as one other oddity , true, these were only one time ever, but still happens, never had a blank break that wasn't my fault, I am sure it happens though, I still think 5 year is fair, maybe company's should tighten up on what's a actual warranty claim, instead of the current system of replacement . Just my opinion.

Most times I don't listen to music, but, when I do I just take a personal music player and ear buds, I have used a Sony small boom box w/ mp3/ cd/ radio, runs on 6 D batts, quite nice, at times... My boats never had radios mounted on them, so I just take portable when I want music, I also used to carry a portable weather radio too, back in the day! Lol... Good luck!

I think it's slightly unreasonable, 5 year I am fine with, but I will not pay 300$ for a shimano rod with one year only. Even though I know most issues happen rather quickly, that's not always the case. Lots of rod company's though.

I couldn't agree more, Shimano or Daiwa. Money well spent.

Geez, I lost 3 Roland Martin Big Bass Spinnerbaits in one Day, great baits, well made, huge blades! Don't ask how, but it happens, I throw them in summer , deep, I always use a crank or plastic in spring and early summer, but that's great.. Catching great fish on a dollar spinnerbait... Can't beat that with a stick!

Strikeking has a new swing head jig/ hook..looks nice, as well as I don't remember the company, but a another poster said a tungston football head for like T rig or C rig.... Something I thought would be nice a long time ago.... Strikekings got some nice finishes coming again, they are really getting it done ( crank baits ) lately pretty neat stuff, enought to bankrupt a guy!

I fished it, what 00 mod says it is the truth, so difficult, I never used a guide I lived there, great fishing, lost Buku rattle baits, too many other great places to fish, I never went back. Not to be negative but if that's where you are going, get a well known guide, hopefully you can get one on short notice. Best Wishes..

Yes, thank you for that link as well, I coulda swore that the conquest had the micro gears, so I assume that it uses the gearing of the Calcutta TE' s? Or? I read bits and pieces on the conquest but it's been a while....

Rods mainly, for me....nothing exactly yet, but Iam sure in the coming days and weeks I will have a better ideal.

I picked up a quantum escalade, 48 ton blank, very clean build micros, I mean a extra 7' rod that's got a nice feel? Saves my loomis rods around here pond hopping..... 50% after a mark down came to 24$.. Sweet!

Idk.. But I throw 5" senkos all the time on a 7'5" loomis heavy weightless w/cps owner 5/0 And medium/ fast and spinning rods too.... You have to use the rod that suits you're style and conditions you fish... Lots of rod types will work with Senkos and Trick worm presentations. I just spooled up a Bright orange flourescent braid, with a Flourocarbon leader for senko work, will I like it? Idk... I am a line watcher and d**n good at it... I will give it try, Likely in fall though so I always wondered if it could be added to florocarbon a uv additive to see it better? Idk... But good FC is good at slack line feel... But pricey

Oh lots of folks like magnetics, Daiwa does it really well at least from Magforce Z to 3 D I use shimano now, but used Daiwa for years and years...

I still love Tripple fish camo- escent ... Perlon, not nylon, I wish it was still easy to find... Very good mono, very easy on the pocketbook! I have not fished a worse line than Viscious anything.... Yo-Zuri is as strong a line as you will ever use in a nylon/ FC blend. Using 832 now.. But can't say much other than I like it and suffix orange flourescent braid too, again don't have to much time with braid, but so far Iam liking it for certain things. I like Silverthread quite well, it's also a good strong Co-poly that's soft and easy to use, similar to plines CX line, in it's handling ... Seaguar s Redlabel is decent for soft cover and often times available for $10 so, at that cost you can change out more, I picked up some seaguar leader material for braid use, it's really a hard line, I like that, going to be easy to keep break offs from rocks and fishes mouth down, at least that's my hope. Sufix monos are reasonable and good lines I think the camo line breaks to easy... Seems like these attempts at coloring monos weaken it. Not Tripple fish though, stren gold broke easy , I liked it for crappie fishing in timber though. Still have 900 yds. Of Berkley trimax in a photochromic 20 pd. it's a really strong line, I can see it good, but it's sorta oval shaped, not round, sorta annoying in its line lay on baitcasters. Gamakatsu line is very good as well, as it's probably made by Pline . I use 25 and it's pretty soft, but dang it's strong abrasion resistance is thru the roof, up there with Yo.....

I am not a owner, yet! But I have used and checked out these reels a lot lately, I am not sure why I am dragging on this but nevertheless I was sold on the 3000.... Now.... I really, really like the 1000.. I can see one of both, by fall!
