  1. Halarious! I got no chance here with 2 life long pats fans in the mix, lol ( flyfisher oh flyfisher )
  2. Chip Kelly is a smart football coach, he can win games, just don't know if he can win "the" game.
  3. Are they? Patoka lake has some serious tank sized carp. I've caught some dandys there, it's also not a great bass lake either, I wonder if the carp have a play in that? I will look on the regs too as far as release or not, interesting..
  4. There you are, I knew you had your antennas up! Still a pats fan I see, thought you might have flopped to the eagles team, lol
  5. Oh yes! Where's ole deakn at? He will defend the patriots in any situation, it should prove to be another interesting year. I feel fortunate that Peyton plays another year, I thought surely he would retire last year. I have followed him since college.. Guess I better re commit to the colts (yuck)!!
  6. Im playing.. I saw the eagles play some good football last year.. I like to horseass around about sports.. I really like to pick on pats fans,..lol, just kidding fellas!
  7. I would just enjoy seeing Peyton Manning have a stellar year.. & get thru, what likely will be his last season, unhurt of course. Other than that, I'm looking forward to another NFL season, for better or for worse.. Oh, eagles still suck, lol ( flyfisher ) JK!
  8. Carp do offer benefit in the waterway, if I do catch one.. I release it. No Asian around my area, yet.
  9. Ah yes, G I Joe w life like hair & Kung fu grip. I had a parachute for mine.. Even before that, we simply played cowboys & Indians or Army.. Outside activity's even in winter.. Then I built and launched model rockets ( my first was the mars lander) a friend built a Saturn V it was huge, and was severely under powered, good days those were.. No, I'm not nor ever was a Legos guy..
  10. Sweet! Pike on a alpha strike.. Sounds fun to me.
  11. Yea man! Fried bass, yummy in my tummy.. Fish sounds good for dinner tonight!
  12. I'm with Raul.. Fry the dag gone fish.. Let the turtles eat it, in other words get over it.. Or, don't ..
  13. Wipe the outside down if you want, but your ok till your scheduled maintenance
  14. When I read this question, I panicked.. Then I looked at my phone & realized its not Winter time yet.. Not yet! Carry on fellas..
  15. I agree, it looks stupid.. Nice bass there.
  16. 17 year, right C&G ? At this age, and for a few years coming, you have to learn to be a man. Sometimes, you have to fight thru the smoke & heat to get to the fire. Have you ever considered the Military? You want to serve something greater than yourself? Service to your country is a fine option for a young man.
  17. Still got that sense of humor going I see, I got a good laugh out of your post, hehe... By the way, nice avatar!
  18. Yep, in August I'm in the hickory trees, checking beech trees, buckeyes, then oak ( mid sept ) sometimes pine, depending.. Of course walnut trees. I use 12 ga & .22lr
  19. Plus, try using speed as a weapon. Buzz a 5" grub on top.. Play around some, try night & 7" Trigged straight tail worms.
  20. Those remind me of the 80's parachute pants, geez aka: Michael Jackson gear, lol Here I though you meant water boarding..
  21. Texas rig plastic worm 7", deeper water/structure than what may fishing was doing for ya..depending, you can try deep crankbaits if you want. One rig with a deep crank & one rig with a trig worm..
  22. The thread has new life, aka zombie ( hornady ) or the undead thread.. I prefer penetration over expansion ( both are ideal ) .45 over 9mm to my thinking, even better is .357 mag or .357sig.. Of course I own .40, .357 mag, 9mm, .357sig, .45, & .44mag, .22lr pistols&revolvers. No magic bullets though.. Shot placement is key.. However, a hot .357 is without a doubt, king of one shot stops. Undisputed.. It's what I carry daily.( mostly ) currently, I'm looking for a .327 federal but weapons are limited.. I will find one.
  23. I truly thought you did miss .38 rat shot, lol No need to be sorry, no harm no foul.
  24. I agree with you bosin, that's why I specifically stated 2 3/4 " magnum 12 ga.. I did omit one important detail that your post & the shot tower explanation reminded me of.. Copper plated shot. You still get flyers though, I also shoot 3" & have taken a few turkey at 15 to 46 yds with 3 1/2" 12ga. I have killed big bucks, does, coyotes, turkeys to 30 pound, foxes, ferel cats, coydogs.. All with 12 ga magnum shells ( also 1 oz slugs ) in a home defensive situation, you are also correct, shot pattern will be very tight, depending on distance. 12 ga 2 3/4" magnums are wicked, to say the least. Steel shot is avail. But I never cared for it at all, maybe in a 4 shot for HD? Idk.. It's a interesting discussion & one that will continue for a long time. I'm confident in that shell putting the lights out pretty fast, if it takes 2,3 or 4 shots so be it, but if I hit him square, he's Likely going to be in deadly trouble ( I hope ) thing is, we never can be certain of anything till it has concluded. I know animals are not a great example, but I have no other true life examples to draw upon. I can't imagine any man that could withstand a 1 oz slug, or 437.5 gr traveling @ 1600 feet per second. I use winchester as follows.. This Super-X 2-3/4" shell has 1 oz hollow point slug which it expels at 1600 fps. ... Muzzle Velocity: 1600 fps Muzzle Energy: 2488 ft/lbs That's a massive amount of destruction there. I've knocked 300 pound whitetail bucks in full rut clean off their hooves, have them kick a bit and it's over..
