Oh, if you fish at night, troll the channels w deep diving crankbaits.. That's usually how I catch my biggest LMB

Pop R's the first 1 hour then back out in the channel & I would throw a Carolina rig.. Rip rap, try jig & trailers.. Search for schooling bass if your able and chase & catch those fish.. Also I've got on some good patterns with tubes in and around shallow weed beds... Here's a strong tip: flukes over weed beds ( unweighted ) not senkos, Zoom flukes in watermelon or pro blue.. Good luck..

Any mechanical part can fail on any branded reel. Bearings are cheap & a easy fix. Never had a bearing fail in 30 years.. I've used Diawa & Shimano.. It does happen, I guess.

rippin-lips is right on the Daiwa reels.. It's just simple business, no need for complication here, simplicity is bliss & profitable.

Yup, Quantum reels were made in Japan, the last reels I bought from lews ( which were owned by quantum or Zebco, Tulsa.. Was in 98. I quit using the bb1n reels around 2002 & made bank selling my many lews..

Around here you about have to throw brown & orange in late winter/early spring.. Black & brown followed by a green pumpkin or watermelon color scheme.. Black works great as well. I prefer hair jigs myself, w pork.. In more heat I use plastic.
