  5. Soybeans turning & now completely turned color (nearly dried ) Ragweed is thru the roof ( yuck ) Bucks are rubbing good.. Crisp, cooler nights, beautiful night sky's.. Coyotes harrasing cattle. Yup, Fall is in the air...
  6. Happy B-Day.. Great reel & a great deal!
  7. Watched the Vid.. I agree, 3 in one trip & 1 earlier in time. A simple hookset, no doubt in my mind that's either a poorly designed rod or a poorly manufactured rod. That would suck on a trip like that.. I had a firing pin break on a rifle in Saskatchewan in about 94, glad I had a backup rifle, sheesh, stuff happens.
  8. the only exception is visible cover like a tree stump. if you feel like there is a bass there pound the heck out of it from top to bottom till you annoy the big girl into biting Great Advice by ClackerBuzz, I saw Denny Brauer pound a submerged tree for hours w a flipping tube ( strikeking ) he knew fish were there, he moved his boat around and methodically continued his fishing.. He won the Classic that day!
  9. This! Exactly this.. If your bumping structure, no need for rattles w a square bill. I vote no rattles with squarebill cranks.
  10. LOL, you guys are killing me tonight! Funny stuff..
  11. Oh heck.. Raider you know we love ya...
  12. Raider loves the Raiders because they always lose, Raider therefore is a loser.. Raider pays his ex wife mucho cash money.. ( loser ) Soon raider will be paying his new girlfriend mucho cash money.. ( loser ) it's a good thing for his lady's he is a union electrician, mucho cash money ( ding ding ding, winner! ) have you pawned your Harley yet raider?
  13. Pocket pool.. While they watch the playoffs from the crib..
  14. Around here, a breeder would mean a bird about 2 years old & having many missing breast feathers ( showing white skin & alot ! ) also most breeders will have a over 10" beard.. Jakes would fall into a much younger category with well less than a 10" beard. Typical about 3" to 5".. Of course that's around here..3.5 " magnums are a helluva load, lol That big bird I got was aged at about 4 years, a dominant battle harden gobbler but not able to breed.. Just capable of fighting & trying to control territory.. There are some big ones around, they are so wary when older.
  15. I would rather chase Eastern turkey than any other sport.. I shot a 30 pound bird 10 years ago after 3 days of chasing him.. 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge Remmington 1187 super mag.. I could write pages on my exploits concerning turkey.. Nothing is more fun than turkey hunting. Nice birds, breeders I assume..
  16. Wow! That's a grandiose statement right there. 28 copperhead bites, via the mouth of a black bass? I digress...
  17. LOL, RW I'd almost swear you were trying to get ole flyfisher fired up..no matter, Philadelphia should drop the Eagle & replace it with a Turkey Vulture.. Or just drop out of the NFL & join the Canadian football league, lol
  18. I don't fish the 5" or 8" on jig heads. I T-Rig both, I like to use both on bluff walls & C-Rig in channels. 1/16 to 1/8 then 1/2 oz on c-rig. Maybe 3/4 to maintain bottom contact. Any grub smaller than 5" I will use a grub head/hook. That's just to say, the way I utilize the baits for my style of fishing.. The 8" is a pretty good bait in Florida too..
  19. Yea, I'm sure you would have the knowledge on such a thing, seeing how your a Veterinary Doctor. Heck, I can't even pronounce it, lol
  20. Gold food coloring, lol
  21. I saw Hank Parker using the large Manns shallow crank bait with a single 3/0 or 4/0 size hook on the rear.. ( fishing bull reds in the Gulf ) he was hooking up fine, no bent hooks, just solid hooksets.. I would give it a whirl & see..
  22. First learn to locate bass routinely ( not exactly easy at first ) focus on a horizontal presentation & a verticle presentation.. Have fun while you learn & don't give up.. Research your access areas for feedback on bass numbers & size.. Keep records to revisit in the winter time..study local prey types & color patterns. Good luck.
  23. The steelers are on fire.. San Fran looks completely rattled, out of sync.
  24. Buffalo S**t
