Oil prices are dropping but gas prices here in Cincinnati are going up. What the heck is that all about?

  • Great, every time they switch over to winter blends, my mpg's go down.

  • Price goes up, mileage goes down. Sounds fair. Hootie

Global warming, Trump, ISIS, Wild Fires... Heck, none of those fit the bill this time! Guess the news will have to tell us a different story!

I was wondering the same thing Hootie... Just keeps going up here too

Buy some VLO, they are making money hand over fist. The refineries  are a choke point between supply & demand. Plus they have to switch back & forth between summer blend & winter blended gas. That always interrupts the supply as well.

Gas up another 15 cents over night. I think I see where this is going. The oil companies want oil for $25.00 a barrel, and $4.00 a gallon for gas.

Hmmm...noticed prices going down in this area!

They are going down here too, and the talk is they will be down 60-70 cents per gallon over the next month or two. Will believe it when I see it though.

$2.59 here, has been for a few weeks now. I drive an hour south to one of my favorite lakes and it's $2.29  :eh:

I do believe that you might be supplied by the refinery located in Indiana.  They had a fire and have shut down the refinery and that is why prices have risen in your area.  Same here in Michigan.  Everyone else has seen a substantial drop and  our prices rose 30 cents yesterday to an average of $2.68 in the area.  They are still predicting sub $2 by the end of September here even with this shutdown.

Gas went up here 11¢ overnight. Around here the price drops about a nickel over the span of a week and then jumps about 20¢ in one day.

Ours just went up another 30 cents. $2.98 avg here.

I just paid $2.13.

Rifinery issue in the area. Hitting IL. Also.

Certainly are. I paid $2.65 yesterday and it's $3.35 today

Oil futures (Sept) traded at $42.10 today. Pump prices for regular unleaded in the Memphis area are $2.10 - $2.15.

Wabash, Indiana went up from $2.59 early yesterday to $2.99 late yesterday.

I filled up early.

It does this because people will pay for it.  Remember when it was around $4 a gallon?

Of course, if I drive to Peru, Indiana, I'm sure I'll find it for 50¢ cheaper...
