  1. Thanks for the input guys, I will look into the tatula for sure.
  2. Thanks for the response. Do you know anything in the 100-125 price range that is any better? I don't have a lot of experience with casting rods other than my two Powell Diesels which I love for the price. I just want to add to the collection as I am going to be fishing some tournaments this year.
  3. Hey guys, I am looking to get a new rod, preferably a medium or medium heavy for my moving baits(spinnerbait, buzz bait, soft plastic swim baits, etc.) I have been extremely interested in the Duckett Ghost and the St. Croix Mojo rods. I am looking for some advice. What are your past experiences with these rods? What do you recommend? Or are there any other good rods in that price range with the sensitivity and reliability of these two rods? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -JoyoftheCatch
  4. Ive been wondering the same thing. Any help would be appreciated
  5. Is it Husson by any chance?? My brother went there and loved it.
  6. Just a heads up, Tackle Warehouse has the 7'6" MH Powell Diesel on sale for around 60$. They also have the Powell Diesel 7' MH glass rod for the same price. I just ordered both of these and from what I have heard they are great rods.
  7. Here is some of the new stuff I picked up at BPS. I caught on to the trend that Rage Tails catch big fish. Ready to win some tournaments this spring. I have a Tackle Warehouse order coming in later in the week and I just ordered a BPS CarbonLite rod. Really excited for what this season has in store.
  8. I use VMC worm hooks and also their drop shot hooks. I am pretty pleased with the VMC brand. On occasions, the hooks have snapped, one time being in a tournament. That being said, I am still happy with the VMC brand.
  9. I am getting very sick of this weather! I just want the ice to melt so I can get back on the water. Really looking forward to some tournaments this year. Are there any new baits that you guys are excited to throw? I cannot wait to throw a buzzbait and chatterbait.
  10. Thanks for the help guys. I have looked into these rods now I just need to make a decision. I also am looking at the St. Croix Mojo Bass rods. Have you had any experience with them?
  11. Hey guys, I am looking for a good crankbait/spinnerbait/jerkbait rod. I have no idea what to get. I'm also looking a reel to go with it. My budget will probably be around 150 dollars for the two items combined . I am starting tournaments and I want a good rod for these uses. Thanks for the advice. JoyoftheCatch
  12. This year I want to take part in some tournaments and hopefully win some as a co-angler. I also want to catch a PB and learn as much as I can about the sport.
  13. Hey guys I was just looking online to see if the list of tournaments for NH has been posted. I m very excited for the large tournaments on Winni this year. I'm hoping to get out as a co-angler for some of the tournaments. I hope to see some of you guys later on in the year. http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/fish_tournament_table.htm
  14. Thanks for the information about this. I will trade in my two old Shakespeare rods just to get rid of them. Will both of those rods count towards one new rod? or would I need to get two? I am only asking because it seems like you know what you are talking about.
  15. I was looking for any ducket rods or st Croix mojo bass rods. I may have missed them though. I will probably head up this weekend for the rod trade in.
  16. Stopped by the new Bass Pro Shops yesterday. I really like the layout of the store and it is fairly easy to find everything. The only problem I had was that there was a lack of casting rods. They had a large amount of spinning rods but I Could not find the casting rods I was looking for. I am going to give the store more time because I am sure that they will realize what they need to stock up on. For those that have visited, what are your thoughts or opinions on the new store?
  17. Hey guys, Im newly registered but I have been reading this thread for a long time now and I want to thank you all for posting helpful tips. I am really wanting to start my bass fishing "career". I want to get into tournaments but I do not own a boat. Do any of you know if New Hampshire has tournaments with co-anglers? I was apart of my high schools bass fishing team and ever since then I cannot get enough of fishing. Any response will be greatly appreciated. -JoyoftheCatch
