First Bass Of 2014
Bluebasser seems right on the weight. None the less a good fish. The first of the season is always one of the most exciting.

Egg Identification And First Bass Of 2014!
I did some more research and you are right. I forgot the ponds got stocked with yellow perch. I just found it odd that there were no fish around the eggs.

Chronarch Ci4 Vs Lews Bb1 Pro
I can compare reviews all day, but what matters is people who have owned either. I'll be using it for an all around reel but will be used mostly for frogs and jigs maybe some heavier t-rigs. Let me know what you guys think of either of them.

What Setup Was Your First Bass Of 2014 Caught On?
Just went out for the first time this year to a small local pond, I didn't expect to catch anything but caught this little guy on my first time using a senko. Caught on: Damiki Angel EX 6'6" Light Lews Speed Spin with 6lb Flouro Wacky rigged watermelon with black flake senko

Egg Identification And First Bass Of 2014!
I went out to a small public pond today to try out senkos for the first time and caught this little guy on a wacky rig. As I was walking the edge of the pond I saw these egg sacks. I tried to look them up but couldn't find anything that looked like them. Anyone have any ideas?

Kayak On The Roof
Looks good. Is that a Mazda Miata in the background?

Fish Almost Gets Eaten By Larger Fish
When wading once I had a huge smallmouth latch onto the side of a 1.5 lb smallmouth I was reeling in. He had to have been 6 lbs. when the smaller fish was released he darted straight for the shallows. I was hoping to catch 7.5 lbs of fish at once.

Spring Classic Flyer Has $99 Curado's
I talked with a BPS associate last week and was informed that the Curado G will be on sale for one day, March 15, until they run out. They had all the ones pulled from the floor as well.

New Reel
Ok so I went to Bass Pro today and I'm not sure if it is current info, but I was told on March 15th the Curado G will he on sale for 99.99 starting at open at 9am. They already have them all pulled off the shelf at my BPS. I also will used my leftover money from the Curado for a Tatula. I didn't think I was going to be a fan until I tried one out at the store. After that is the Chronarch Ci4.

What's A Technique That Someone Showed Or Taught You?
Had a very nice person teach me how to fish for steelhead and brown trout while on vacation in Michigan last year. The guy was super nice and bared with my probably stupid questions for awhile. He even let me borrow some spoons because my selection was slim.

Your Occupation To Buy Your Fishing Arsenal
Being only 19, I have a crappy job as a produce clerk at my local Kroger. The job gives me enough for the bills and about $50 a month for fishing. Looking for another job now to feed my addiction.
-
What Is Your Niche?
Topwater. Especially for smallmouth. It seems whenever I'm having trouble catching any this will always get me a couple. Lipless cranks are another.

New Reel
I found a couple Curado E series for around 150. Would this be my best bet?
-
New Reel
I saw one at mine for that price as we'll but they only had LH retrieves. As far as an all around reel, will there be a performance difference between the Tatula and Curado G.
-
New Reel
Now with the Tatula, would I be better off with it, or waiting for the old Curado to be cheap when the new one comes out.?
-
New Reel
I need a little input on a good reel. I bought a new Citica 200G a month ago and am second guessing myself now. I paid around 140 with tax. That is the same as the lews tournament mg I bought two years ago. And the lews just feels like a better reel to me. Is there any other reels around the 130 range I should consider?

Fishing Glasses?
I owned a pair of Oakley Hijinx Angling Specific in Shallow Blue and loved them to death they fit well and worked amazingly until I lost them in a river. Then I got a pair of Costa Blackfin in 580G Green Mirror and was even more impressed. They are leaps and bounds better than Oakleys. I swore by my Oakleys until I tried Costas. There are few people who have tried both and will still pick Oakleys over Costas. When it comes to fishing, no one can compete.

Tackle On A Small Budget
This is very good advice, but... I just got a kayak and have bank fished only before that so this year, my tactics are going to have to change completely. I have just started getting into soft plastics as well so I hardly know anything about my area. Or any area for that matter.

Hello From Ohio
Welcome. I've fished around the Wilmington area a couple times. I'm sure that's pretty close to you.

Tackle On A Small Budget
I will keep this in mind when backing my reels this spring. Much cheaper than what I use now.

How Do You Like Bass Pro Shops Lures?
I am a huge fan of their XPS Rattle Shad. The shape is a good one and I have done very well with smallmouth on them in the past. The inline spinners they have for just under $2 aren't bad either. The only complaint I have though is that hooks on the Rattle Shad are not very good and I have had many break on me. So I would suggest replacing them out of the box or carrying some extra trebles on you, just incase.

Tackle On A Small Budget
I actually used to go to Treasure Isles when it was still called Turtle Creek with my mother to sell stuff on weekends. Thanks for the tip on the spinnerbaits too. I've been buying them but have to replace many of them a couple times.

Tackle On A Small Budget
My local Wal-Mart is stingy. They hardly ever mark down fishing stuff. I do drive by a Gander Mountain once a week. I'll have to start stopping just to check their markdown rack.
