    I've been thinking about that question a lot for the past couple of years. I am a huge biology/nature nerd. I think fishing is a way for me to interact with the concentric nature rings in a way that is hands on. I get to "be" the baitfish. I get to sample the bass population. I can't think of another sport that allows me to be this close with nature.
