Megabass Destroyer USA rods
There is a big thread devoted to these over on Tackle Tour. Beautiful rods and it sounds like nothing but positive feedback from folks so far. I was seriously considering a Destroyer but think I'm leaning towards one of the new Orochi XXX rods now

Favorite Clearwater Smallie Spinnerbait.
Nichols Low Pro or Pepper Clearwater are both great
-
Drop Shot Minnow Baits
You can't get much better than the offerings from Basstrix, but the aren't the most budget friendly baits by any means

Big hudds for big smallies?
They'll hit hudds but as mentioned above your hookup ratio will not be great. That said, after Huddleston customer service went out the window I personally no longer fish them

New to Missouri fishing. From the PNW.
Hello and welcome to Missouri my friend! Other good resources you may want to check out are the MDC's fishing prospects report online and also check out the Ozark Anglers forums for lots of info. As far as your jig issue goes, what type of line are you using? I suspect this could be the issue...

Dobyns Fury FR 795SB owners question
I grabbed a 795SB last Fall and so far I really like it. Not as refined as some of the other swimbait rods out there but the QPR on it is fantastic. I've used a Tatula HD Custom and Z2020H on mine and I think the Z is the one I like better with this rod, well at least for my application. Seriously though, don't feel like you have to get a heavy duty swimbait type reel if you are only throwing baits up to 3oz. Any QUALITY reel should do fine. I know of guys that use the regular Tatulas on baits in the size you wanna throw with no issues

St Croix Bass X Series vs similarly priced 13 options
Now that the Bass X has been out for a few months, I'm wondering if anybody has any real feedback? Most of the online reviews I've read are more first impressions than a legit review. I'm putting together another smallmouth combo and am considering the 6'6" M Bass X or something from 13 in the same price category. I guess my main concern is the power rating, is the Bass x series true to their rating? I've had Avids and premiers rated at M but seemed more like a MH.

Daiwa Vs. Shimano
Both are great. For some reason I favor Daiwa for casting reels and Shimano spinning. Not sure why, just always been this way

Input on Abu Volatile 6'9" ML
Bump just in case anybody wants to chime in...

Input on Abu Volatile 6'9" ML
Has anyone used the Abu Volatile 6'9" ML casting rod? I'm looking to add another lighter casting setup to my arsenal and this one definitely has a nice price point, but none of my local retailers carry them. I guess what I'm most interested in how true is the power and action? How has the rod performed for you? I'm stuck between purchasing this, or the Don Iovino Nanoace rod. I apologize if this topic has come up before, through my searches I really only found info on the heavier models, of which it seems feedback is good.

Bass Pro buys Cabelas
Meh, I prefer Tackle Warehouse to both of them anyway. Bigger selection, better prices, free shipping, and NO SALES TAX. Done and done

Swim Bait Rod?
As someone who tried to get away on the cheap when I first got in to swimbaits, I seriously suggest spending a little more and getting one of the rods mentioned above.

Counterfeit Megabass Reels?
As a Daiwa guy I've always been attracted to Megabass offerings but felt they were a little more money than I needed to spend. Lately I've been seeing what seem like pretty good deals from various Asian retailers and ebay sellers. In some cases the prices seem almost too got to be true, so I'm curious are there any known instances of Megabass reels being counterfeited? I found a little info on some faked MB lures but not reels. I figure if there fake Rolex watches and fine wine, then high end reels might be faked too?In full disclosure, temptation got the best of me last night and I ordered a reel. Seller seems to be legit and offers a full refund if not satisfied but I'm worried I should've asked here first...

Weedless swimbait jigheads or alternatives?
I'm a fan of the Spot Stalkers from Kalins. They are a little small for the bigger baits but an awesome product. Buckeyes are nice too.

What is your favorite wakebait?
MS Slammer, I've had success with most all sizes. Plus various rat baits
-
Low-profile Reel for Swimbaits?
I'm using JDM Tatula HDs and a Daiwa Z2020h and while I love them there are many great LP options.

Is p-line any good?
I use P Line PF Original on every single one of my rods except my frog rod. I've found it excellent for everything from Ned rigs up to 8oz swimbaits. As to their other lines, I can't really comment but I love this one.
