  3. I have a friend that has one in front of his house. He wont put anything under 6lbs in it! It is so cool to look at those fish! True story: His dog was outside playing and he got his head caught in a plastic bag, he fell in the redneck aquarium and drowned! Sad but true. The aquarium is still there and my friend has not replaced the dog.

  7. Back home there is a guy who sits in his garage and makes jigs all day!! He works for Santone jigs I can get em for cheap and they work great. Its all I use anymore. It seems that I cant find the size I want at any other stores.
  8. Well thats another thing, money doesnt flow like a river round here so I have to get the best bang for my buck. I started using this rod about a year ago and I love it! But then again I have never thrown a 130-180 dollar rod. It is a little frustrating when I cant spend good money on good equipment. True story: I went to bass pro with my fishn buddy, money comes out of his ears, and he spent $$$$$620 bucks on lures and rod and reel. $341 on baits the rest on one rod and one reel!! He also has four calais on G loom rods!!! And to top it off a 2006 20" skeeter. He tells me when to show up and I do!!!!!!!!! But really guys let me know if i got burned, I thought it was a good deal but I need to be corrected if it wasnt.

  13. I LOVE REACTION INNOVATIONS!!!!!!!! I use them all the time, texas style, carolina, as pigs on my jigs, through lily pads. Plus you got to love the name!
  14. I would go with the BPS extreme as well. They are actually on sale online for 50 bucks! I plan on getting a couple more.
  15. He is right. For a long time I used a 6'6" rod when i was pond fishing in my younger days. Now i use both a 6'6" and a 7' mh along with othe spinning gear witch all has been upgraded to my own preference.
  16. I hate the stuff and dont recomend buying any of it. I had terrible experiences with it. More times than what I can mention actually. But many people have great things to say about it so. I guess jsut try it yourself. Good luck with it!
  17. Hey man welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your new rod and reel. When I started fishing I got a zebco 33 from walmart and used them until the fish I was catching got too big! Everyone is on the right track here, bank fishing is great and I do it alot. Get around some structure that you can see going down into the water a pitch some worms in there. Get around some grass close to the bank and buzz those spinnerbaits around there. Ratlle traps will work well this time of year as well. Try crawfish color. Hope this helps and good luck. Oh by the way, when the spawn starts in mid march try to get out there as much as you can. For a bank fisherman that would be one of the best times to go.
  18. I just looked at his pm he sent me, everything looks a ok! ;D
  19. I made a comment earlier on some Power Pro, which I hate! I used it for a little while but the stuff kept breaking. So i told a guy that the stuff was no good. But that was just my experience. Most people said it was good stuff. But, I have talked to others who didnt like it either. So I agree with yall. If you dont know about something from learning yourself, it might be hogwash!
  20. ok cool, I got it. Thanks guys. does anyone else out there have any experience with the Diawa procaster?
  21. how would i go about contacting him?
  22. Hey guys got a question for you. I have a Daiwa Procaster and it has seen better days. I have had it for about 4 years and it is in need of a facelift. Everything works on it but it has ridden in the back of truck dropped in the water, left out in the weather, ya know the regular stuff. I have taken it apart and cleaned it and re greased it but with little improvement. Does anyone know if I can send it back to the company to get it cleaned? If so, how much do you think it would cost? Should I just throw it away? Let me know what you think.
  23. I have used power pro before and I threw it in the trash. Now all I use is P-line. Let me explain. When power pro fisrst came out I went out and bought it. I was sold by all the advertising. I started using it and I did like it at first. The sensitivity is great. I started fishing some tuesday night tournaments at our hometown lake and I couldnt keep that stuff from breaking. I was throwing 25lb test at 4lb fish and i would loose every other fish, plus my bait!!! The spool would also get mushy and bury. If you fished it in rocks it frayed very quickly. I got real ticked and threw it away. I suggest anything but power pro.
  24. Guys is it safe to say that by March 5-9 the fish will be in a full swing spawn?
