I dont use a scale much I like to look at em and then over estimate as much as possible!! But I have also seen guys carefully slip the hook under the gills. Just be careful to not injure the fish. If this is incorrect I am sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.

You need to keep in mind that the fish get used to there surroundings. If an area always has boats running by it is safe to say that the fish have adapted to that situation. All the comotion probably affects the fisherman more than the fish. But, should someone run right on top of (and not just close to) an area you are fishing you might try moving down and coming back later. Also as far as when to throw certain topwaters, you want to match the lure presentation with the water conditions. For example a very calm water condtion would require a lure that is not extremely loud. Then on the other end of the spectrum if it is choppy and windy you should throw something that makes alot more noise. That should get you started. Good luck!

Well, I am not sure how it is done way up north, but here in texas when you find fish acting the way you are talking, they are probably chasing shad. I buddy of mine have found spots like this out of deep water and have ripped bass left and right with a shallow diving crank bait, in a shad color. try it out.

I have tried to decide one way or another. For me I do feel this man deserves an honest innocent until proven guilty trial but in the courts of public opinion it will be hard to get that. The indictment is very thourough from what I hear and is bad bad bad for vick. If he did it I would not be surprised, there are to many NFL players that are doing things that disgrace the league. There has been alot of illegal activities going on in this sport here lately it seems to me. Maybe the commisioner should clean house and start throwing the book at these guys.

I just caught a segment from the Oreilly Factor about a PA court issue where an illegal immigrant is trying to sue the state. I am not sure what all is going on to be honest but what I was able to catch from the piece I caught disturbed me greatly. The judge has allowed the illegal immigrant to enter into this case "annonymously" and actually attempt to sue the state. Both of which are not granted to US citizens. However you can go into a hearing annonymously, but only under very specific needs pertaining to a minor or abortion laws. The judge is believed to be allowing the annonymous title to protect the immigrant from deportation. Because if the identity of the plaintiff was revealed he would simply be deprted. Well guys and gals if you ask me I feel the sucker should be bagged and tagged so to speak and deported immediately. I think this old cooky judge needs to be over ruled and the whole case should be thrown out. If a person comes into this country illegally and makes decisions to not actively be involved in trying to support the U.S and become a legal citizen, he or she should be granted no rights that true americans have blead for. I think this whole thing is hog wash and wanted to see what you thought. Sometimes I think that people need to wake the hell up and quit letting these parasites clogg the american jusice system. This should take about two seconds to decide on in my opinion. Tell what you think, I am curious to know all positions. Thanks guys.

Well, guys sometimes not being told what to do is better. Take the free market for example. Without all the regulations that the government places on products the price would go down because companies wouldnt be jumping through hoops and spending all kinds of money to meet certain requirements. Now you may be thinking that without regualtion companies would make terrible things that would hurt us. But if they did that then people wouldnt buy it, and then no money for those guys who soon go out of business. SO you see free markets can work for the better. I guess my point would be that even if we didnt have to pay taxes, people still would or they leave the areas that were becoming delapidated. In time people would learn to set these things up their selves and in doing so it would be more efficient and cheaper. But that is just my two cents.

Hey everybody> First of all let me start by saying its good to be back! Well almost back. I have been moving around the great state of texas for the past couple of months with little to no access to the internet, which meant no BassResource.com!! To make matters worse I still dont have an ISP at my new place, right now I am in a hot spot. But anyway lets get down to business, I am having trouble aquiring my sat dish. I know kinda what to do but I think I may have lost a part during my moves. SO here is the deal, the direct tv box is programmed with my dads channels. More speciffically it came out of his house and was working properly. He gave it to me and I got a direct tv dish and coax cables to hook everything up at my new place. It is legall but not supported by direct tv so I dont think theyll help. SO I have the dish, tripod, coax cables, programmed card to the box, the dirct tv box, and cables to the tv but I cant get it to work. Is it because I am missing something or am I not doing something right? I know this thing probably doesnt make much sense but please help me anyway you can. And as I said earlier I have no ISP (internet service provider) so I cant get online much but please dont hesitate to help. Thanks alot guys and I will chek back as soon as I can.

Haha! I had a friend give this one to me. Maybe he knew something I didnt! Given that fact though I think I will just have it fixed or do it myself if anyone has an idea of what wrong with it.

I dont see any adjustment on this one. It spins plenty fast until pressure is applied. I can even hold it with my hand. Kinda scary but I can do it.

Hey guys I have a DeWalt orbital sander DW 420, and it is not working properly. It sounds fine when you run it without applying it to any surface. But, when I put it onto anyting under normal pressure the head of the sander begins to slow and eventually will sotp if I dont pick it off the surface. The motor sounds fine, so I thought there might be a clutch or something in it, but after looking at some part list for the sander I decided it didnt have one. I am stumped, so if anyone knows anything about this let me know.

Mine did the same thing like two weeks ago. Except mine was brand new! When they had the classic sale I got two more and the first time I used it, it made that awful noise. It is not an extremly complicated reel, you could take it apart and clean just be careful and dont put too much oil on it.
