  1. Cant say I am a big basketball fan.
  2. Fisher of Men, I will give it you Aggies. Yall look good so far. My room mate is Aggie Alum so naturally we have our differences on each others teams. Who is getting to go to the game on OCT 6th? I got a ticket yesterday as a gift!
  3. Hello all, just wanted to get your opinion an how our team is performing. Even if your not a fan and want to comment that is welcome too. My personal opinion is that Texas has been making me nervous. Yeah we got the wins but I think we can all agree that it has not been pretty. So whats the deal?
  4. I was fishing a friends pond one time and I saw a snake swimming across the water. I grabbed my other rod which had a jig head and a grub on it. I tore the grub off and started throwing the bear jig head over and over trying to snag the snake when WAM! A nice crappie just laid into it.

Same here man Toyota for sure. Tundra extra cab 2wd is one of the best trucks on the road. I have been in the market for a truck a while and whenever I look I always think toyota first. My second choice would be a chevy. You can get a good chevy for under 20. Good luck.
  6. Those are hard to believe! Awesome
  7. Speaking of the shootout, OU vs. UT, my girlfriend just emailed me to say she got tickets to the game! She is a student there and was lucky enough to get one. Thats right one. I guess Ill just go to the fair. >
  8. I have seen it before but it is still a good one!
  9. I wasnt trying to attack anyone, just trying to say my piece. I wear my TX stuff everywhere I go and sometimes I have to back em up a little. The place I have to defend myself most is at my girlfriends parents house. Let me tell you when her family is all ther they really give me a hard time! They are all aggies! But it is easy to defend myself against them. HAHAHA! Another one for me!
  10. Something fun to do when chasing those sandbass (might be called something else where you are) is to take a small torpedo topwater and attach a small pinch weight to the line just in front of the topwater. This will allow you to throw it a lot farther and since mouths on the sandbass are smaller than LMB the torpedo is perfect. Just throw and retrieve. Kills em everytime!
  11. Long Mike. Do you think its okay to just go around betting people up for supporting there schools? Seems to me trash talking is good enough. It is a game, a sport and anytime violence is introduced into a rivalry I gotta ask myself, who is the dumbasx that threw the first punch. If you cant take a little trash talk and give a little of your own without loosing your head, you are a disgrace to your school. Period. It is never right.
  12. For Texas Fans Choke. The Official Drink of Oklahoma.
  13. Probably going to take some elbow grease I would try thinner and a wire brush.
  14. Hey Torpedo I will ask my brother what brigade he was in. Because he also said his buddies were involved with pulling Saddam out of his hole. He also had a buddy called "Red" who sent back some pictures of him laying in Saddam's gold and pearl bathtub. No water in it, he was just acting like he was chillin in full uniform with his M16.
  15. Popularity is right. On top of that marketers saw this new growth and capitalized on it. It the American way. We are always searching to make things better, so thats why reels can cost so much.
  16. This is a good technique. What happens is that the smaller more aggressive fish do all the work attacking the school (this is why you see them jump) the bigger bass sit underneath the shad school and wait for body parts to come down. Its an easier more efficient meal. It doesnt always work but its called fishing for a reason. Another good way to catch is a shad pattern confused minnow topwater. Its one of my favorite baits.
  17. THis doesnt relate to this BR forumn but I had a friend say "I dont know SH**" so we got him a shirt made that said that! Oh and the Jaws reference, I thought I was the only one who had that. Oh well. Its still good.
  18. I was sitting in highschool (jr.) at the time and an announcement came over the intercom to tell us what happend. No teachers would let us watch the news (all classes had tvs in them for movies) It wasnt until my third period class that our history teacher Mr. Nash said toaday we will watch history and not read about it. He was the only one in my opinion that new the magnitude of what happened. It was hard to sit through the rest of my classes knowing what was going on. I cant believe it has been six years. My brother was stationed at Ft. Hood. He was in 4th ID in the army. He said they locked the bass down and started talking war. He did not go to Iraq becase his 2 yr active duty was up by the time we declared war.. However he did have his entire division go to Iraq of which he lost a friend and another was injured when they took a direct hit from an RPG. Iwont share the details its pretty graphic. God Bless America.
  19. A 6lber is good anywhere, good job!
  20. True Story: I was leaving with my brother in Texarkana, Tx when this happend about 3 years ago. We had an employee that had access to our shop (auto shop he was trustworthy so we thought so he got a set of keys, like a manager you know) go in one night and steal my brothers boat. Which I might add had all of his tackle in it. Then about a year and a half later we read in the paper about a guy that was shot in his house when a drug deal went bad. He was shot in the leg and he called the cops. When the cops got there, they looked around and noticed ATVS, mortorcycles, lawnmowers, boats and other things of this nature. Including a bass boat. About 2 or three o'clock my brother got a call from the Arkansas state police saying "hey! we found your boat! Can you describe it for us?" Obviously he could and he got all of his stuff back. They did however try to strip the motor but hell, we worked on cars for a living so that was no big deal. The moral of the story is dont give up. Be optimistic. I know it sucks but hang in there.

Sam has great advice there. I am currently attending University of Texas at Dallas and only lake a year. But if there is one thing I could change (educational wise) it would be to take all my math early at a community college. Business Calculus II was a big pain in the but!

Hey guys I have been looking around for a winch to put on my ATV and I needed some more information. I am familiar with WARN winches and even more familiar with their prices!OUCH! So I looked around for other brands. THe only thing is that I have never heard anything about them. I cant think of any off hand but if you are familiar with other brands that would work well on a four wheeler that gets in the mud from time to time pleae let me know. I am looking for reliablility and reasonable cost.
  25. Funny. !
