  1. There was a discussion on this not too long ago. Sufix and Power Pro seem to be the favs around here. Some people love it and some hate it. Do a search for those two lines. But me personally, I quite using braid after one season. I had a bad experience with it as well. I only use the mono now, P-line 20lb. Welcome to the forum!
  2. Chuck Norris (Chuck Norris doesnt do push ups, he pushes the world down.) just a lil extra. Cheetos or Doritos
  3. Hey guys I wont be making the trip this year, but I am going another time. I was messing around online and found an interactive CD-ROM that shows the lake in detail. I have not purchased the product but I thought everyone might like the chance to do so. All I ask is when you get back to show us plenty of pics. Just copy and past the address, or click on it. I am not sure if it links automatically or not. Best of luck guys. http://www.martinsmap.com/products/forkcd/forkcd.htm#cd3

Hey guys I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me with some ideas for Valentine's Day. Although I did not get the spa or massage for her, I did get a pound of shrimp and made a huge candlelight dinner. It was cheap and besides shes a sucker for romance, not money. Thats a good thing too!! I hope everyone else had as good a luck as I did. Thanks again guys.
  7. Thanks alot guys!

  12. My brother was in 4th ID for the US army and was at Fort Hood on September 11th. He was finishing up his active duty and did not have to go to Iraq. We thank God for that. I would like to thank you and your son for your sevice to this great nation.
  13. I used to get boozed up when I was a young buck and hit the back roads. I am from a small town and there wasnt much to do. I know that is no excuse but luckily no one got hurt or killed. Im a little older a fatter now and I dont drink and drive. But i still love beer.
  14. It would just depend on the situation, but I wouldnt crowd the guy but I would go behind him if I thought the spot was worth it.
  15. I understand what happened, but what I want everyone to realize is that under alot of circumstances for me anyway it just kept breaking. It very well could have been that i got a bad spool.ß
  16. Alpster, no offense to you because I too have seen it work, however.........I HATE POWER PRO AND ALL THINGS POWER PROISH!!! Ahhhhhh I feel better. This topic was up not too long ago. I had a similar response and it makes me feel good when I can let it out. Like I said I have seen it work but I have seen it not work alot more. I got it when I fished some tourneys back home and I couldnt keep a good one on for nuttin. Couldnt keep anyting on actually. I accidently hit my flipping switch one time and casted! My lure went to the other side of the lake. That was with 25lb test. I would not buy it. Buy some beer instead, keep the line you got.
  17. I have read a lil here and there, the long A jerkbait in gold or orange and maybe a another jerbait in blue/silver with the orange underbelly for the clear day if you get one.
  18. I love sweet beaver!! I had to say it. I cant remember the exact colors but, my beavers are usually reeeeaaaal sweet!
  19. well, my worst trip was when i fished some rocks on a dam and I lost all of my jigs plus about three of my friends!
  20. a buddy of mine had one, and the first time he threw a lunker hit it and broke his line!!!
  21. I agree with roadwarrior. you guys are crazy! I have one tackle back with 6 trays in it. cranks - about 10 spinnerbait - about 6 topwater - about 5 worms - about 10 kinds jerbaits - 2 or 3 then some other stuff but thats the main goodies
  22. I was reading through my Texas Fish and Game magazine and there was a section in there on maintaining your reel. What was said was to release all the pressure on your drag when storing your reels for a given time period. It will make your drag system last alot longer. I didnt know this so i thought I would pass the info. No charge guys. this one was free
  23. I really dont know. But if it were me, I would start by calling a business around your area who does boat repair if they have had any experience with it. Most of the time people are willing to trade some information. You might even carry it up there make em think you want the job done, have em explain everything to you and then roll out. But thats kinda sneaky.
  24. i have pond fished all of my life and I love it! Your core baits are what I had most of my luck with. White spinnerbait, chart spinnerbait, worms (purple believe it or not) senko (watermelon) weedless texas or wacky through the moss. Topwaters in the summertime and spring early in the morning. When I was in highschool, I used to go by the pond and fish for an hour catch five or 6 then go to school!! On the topwaters throw some poppers, or confused minnows. key in on cover that you can see going down into the water or that you can see out in the water. when it warms up just get out there all the time.
