  1. I didn't start fishing til I was 30, when I moved to a house with a lake literally in my backyard in south florida. One day I decided to get a spinning combo and start fishing. I paid $9.98 at Dick's and caught dozens of fish on it. Now I have several reels in the $100-300 range and rods that range into the high $200's. I can honestly say that they don't make me catch more, or bigger fish. But Hell, I'm just a sucker for good toys, I'm the same way with my tools. So I say fish with what you can afford, technique catches fish, not money.
  2. I think I'll keep my .40 loaded with Federal Hydra-Shoks
  3. Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Boynton, but I try to fish all over, although I don't make it as far as Miami too often Lou
  4. Hey y'all, figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Marty, I live in South Florida, I usually fish neighborhood lakes and the canal systems down here in S. FL. Been fishing for about 4 years, can't believe I wasted the first 31 years of my life!!!! You better believe I'm making up for it now that I'm living down here though
  5. I'm from Mass, but I live in florida
