Need info about the Saline Larto Complex in Jonesville, LA. Never been there and aside from Google Maps know nothing about the lake. Will be trying to find some big bass the second weekend of March. Any tips on running the canals and are there locks? Which lakes are better for big fish or numbers? Is the available structure different on the different lakes or similar? I will be able to prefish one day, but any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated

What about Winter??? Red in February? or closer to spawn?

Thinking about fishing the Rat-L-Trap tournament on Guntersville on February 7, 2016. I'm not familiar with the lake (never fished it). Any advice on colors that are particularly good over there?

Not sure how much help I can expect, but I'll be fishing at Wheeler Lake in Alabama in a few weeks and I'm looking for advice on catching smallmouth. Thus far I've yet to catch one and really want to catch a few this trip!!! No smallmouth where I live so any advice is appreciated.

Ok. Fished all day last Saturday in a steady rain. My 500.00 rain suit was as porous as a screen door. I'll be buying a new one pretty soon!!! I'll ask for feedback in 2 ways... What is the absolute best suit that can be bought??? And.... What is the best suit for the money??? If they make a suit that will keep water out in a category 5 hurricane I'd like to know which one it is. I'm looking at Simms, StormR Strykr, Frabill...so far.

Any advice on fishing bee lake in June?

Just wanted to hear others thoughts on how to learn to locate and catch prespawn bass. I've read the articles on "how to", but the reservoir I fish on is pretty shallow. I know where the spawning flats are, but most of the reservoir is pretty flat or gently sloping. Was hoping someone might have a nugget or two of wisdom to share with a guy trying to learn the art of locating bass.

New to the forum so I hope this is in the right place. I'm trying to decide between the rods above. I can't remember the exact model numbers, but both are 7' MH with a fast tip. It will be used for a variety of applications... Frog, Carolina rig, Texas rig, jig, etc. I'd rather buy a few high quality rods than a rod for everything I ever throw. I will acquire rods slower that way, but I prefer quality over quantity. Advice, input, or other suggestions are welcomed.
