  1. Thanks for all the advice will give them both a try
  2. Think it was more of the frames I didn't like but the 580 lens is just better than the 400 ...I'm kinda hard on stuff and I broke my glass ones
  3. I have a pair of 580's but they Aren't glass I had some 400 glass and sold them I didn't like the glass ... Mine r green tinted and they are awesome they r best for stained water I believe the blue is better for clear water and ocean scenarios the greens r better suited for bass fishing in my opinion .. I've had oakleys and Wiley x costa 580 green tint is the best
  4. I'm used to big jigs big rods and big line I wouldn't know how to act in water over 5ft and a spinning rod with light line ...I suck in deep water I'm trying to learn to fish deep wish I knew someone who could give me some lessons lol
  5. And I'd love to fish for them brownies !!!
  6. ...I've seen some of your posts and we think a lot alike wish u were closer I need a partner to fish tournaments with ..I'd love to fish a team trail in Texas but need a partner that's into fishing as much as me lol
  7. I'm a powell guy myself never fished the diesels but I'm sure they r great for there price ..of I didn't fish powells the bps carbon lites and Abu veritas r great the veritas r rated a little on the heavy side in my opinion meaning a med heavy feels like a heavy and so forth but they r extremely sensitive there guides r kinda not so good but the rod is also under a 100 bucks to .. The vendettas are also a fantastic rod for there price ... One good thing about the carbon lites if u break 1 just take it back to bass pro and they'll give u a new one .. They r also sensitive ... Any of those rods I mentioned above are great rods u can't wrong
  8. Lipless cranks for me and I know they catch fish I just never have any luck with them
  9. I was thinking about trying some of this..Has anyone used it and what were your experiences with it ? Low stretch ? Abrasion resistant?
  10. I had a carbon lite and snapped it on a hook set took it back got a new one ..I don't have any now but I did like the rod really light and sensitive . Who cares if u break one as long as they give u a new one lol
  11. Thanks will give it a try
  12. I've never actually fished that exact rod but I'm sure it would I have the 684 and 706 max line and they both r great for those I do have the 725 cb endurance.. Not sure on the spook jrs but regular spooks traps squarebills and crank baits should handle them nicely
  13. As for reel I prefer 6:4:1 I don't like the 5 to slow and 7 is to fast in my opinion.
  14. Powell squarebill rod , powell max 684cb , powell max 704cb 706 cb .. Powell endurance 695cb ...all great stiks
  15. I actually bought a place at the end of last summer on fork .. At sun eagle bay ..trying to learn the lake but it's a very intimidating lake ..I have caught several good ones but there's days I 0 on that lake .. Would love some help with it ! I live about 3 hours from there goin out to fish the ford mega bass tounament April 6 plan on goin early to prefish it but have no knowledge of spring time fishing on that lake ..so If I could narrow it down to sections that produce the best bags that would b great
  16. This is for experienced guys on fork .. If u could fish only one section of fork in the spring where would it be and why ?
  17. I use the endurance 725 as my flipping stick and I throw a rigs and big swim baits on it as well also a good jig rod for heavier jigs. It's a 5 power rod... U can email or call them and talk to Keith he is the owner and he will go out of his way to answer all your questions .. Great company I can't say nothing bad about any of there rods
  18. Powell 684cb if u can find one .. It throws 1.5's flawlessly and traps 1/2 oz and under also an awesome jerkbait rod and u won't find a better topwater rod ... I have 3 of them ...u don't ever lose a fish on it and it has enough back bone to handle big fish easily .. I fish lake fork and have hauled in numerous bass over 8lbs
