  1. I like braid, I put that ***** on everything.
  2. I fish in Suffolk county, where I live, and while we do have hundreds of small lakes and ponds ( the largest being 240 acres) there are no gas motors allowed in a single one. I've been fishing strictly out of a boat with trolling motor for over 20 years now. I use my 8 ft bass hunter on solo trips and my 12 ft porta boat when with another. They both are super stable and fish well, getting into every square yard of these small bodies of water.
  3. I caught many lmb that have this look. Depending on the lake conditions for time of year, they can show quite a few different patterns.
  4. I was thinking the same thing. A lot of guys here should head on over to their local high school football field and get ready for some disappointment.
  5. Welcome, enjoy the forums.
  6. I've been using 40 lb pp for years, don't remember the last time i broke off. Also use for jigs and t/rig plastics with good results, most times no leader.
  7. I enjoy using my lews tournament pro.
  8. So would I, then add a floro leader.
  9. [quote name="Derek A." post="1786802" timestamp="1433700631. So which one do you prefer? .
  10. No, I don't use them.
  11. Good looking bass, way to go!
  12. I reel the lure just above the keeper, hook it on and then slightly loosen the spool by hand for the correct tension.
  13. Out of the hundreds of lakes in our area this would be the last on my list to fish. There is not much of anything in there. If you want to stay close go just north to southards pond and use the lures mentioned above.
  14. Hollow body frog, weightless t/rigged stick bait.
  15. Without knowing each and every setup it's impossible to give an answer IMO . I'd want the gift card.
  16. Very nice, enjoy the moments! They go by fast.
  17. Hollow body frogs thrown in the nastiest cover you can find.
  18. These are the sharpest hooks IMO as some others have said also. I haven't used them in quite a while because they produce a lot of damage. If you combine braid with violent hook sets ( which I do) I don't recommend these. I went through a ton of plastics , shredding the heck out of them, and also the bass's mouth, ripping, big holes. If your a mono/floro guy with less aggressive hook sets I would recommend these.
  19. Welcome to the forums, I also enjoy the smaller lakes also.
  20. Welcome aboard, enjoy the forums.
