  1. My reels are atleast a 7.1:1 or higher gear ratio, I can't stand slow reels.
  2. Welcome, enjoy the forums.
  3. I don't subscribe either. I use all graphite rods with F or XF actions for EVERYTHING.
  4. I use an Abu Garcia vendetta- 6'9" MH/ F with a lews team pro 7.1:1 spooled with 16 lb sniper.
  5. Same here.... Actually it's 24/7/274 for me. no winter fishing for me.
  6. Yes, I stay with th k.i.s.s. approach. It's been working well for me close to 35 years now of bass fishing. And if I use 20 percent of what's in there in a days fishing, that would be high.
  7. Yes that's a very nice day, congrats.
  8. Welcome, enjoy the forums. Thankyou for your service.
  9. I was bored and curious this morning so I did go into the garage and weigh my two boxes I take on the boat. plano over/under 13.9 lbs. soft plastic binder 9.10 lbs.
  10. My apologies, you are correct. Backorderable only . Will have to wait to hear some reviews.
  11. BPS has had them for sale for a while now but I don't know of any other retailers.
  12. Hey guys, any one own or has used this new unit yet. The garmin striker 7sv. looking to purchase my first quality fish finder and my research has found this to be the least expensive at $499 , with the largest screen 7" that does have side imaging. If I'm wrong please correct me. I have been using one of the fishin buddy models for some years now and honestly it's close to useless. I fish small ( 20 to 200 acres) trolling motor only lakes in which a couple do have depths approaching 40 ft, but most are under 10 ft. Looking for the best bang for the buck for side imaging with screen size. All help is much appreciated.
  13. It was just ok IMO . picked up a lews team pro 7.1:1 some eagle claw flipping and swimbait hooks and 10 bags of the pit boss.
  14. Hello. Enjoy the forums.
  15. I use pp yellow, but any of the hi vis lines will work for you. ( white , pink, orange).
  16. Absolutely, while not a professional, I'm always willing to help a fellow member. You best bet is when your list is complete just post it here and you'll have many members willing to help with suggestions/opinions.
  17. I use all left hand retrieves. The MB is 7.5:1 which is 31" ipt. A 6.4 or 6.8:1 is 28" ipt. Three inches per turn is nothing IMO. I use all higher speed reels, it's really not that much of a difference.
