  7. 1 to 3 inches of snow per hour here on Long Island. 6 inches already, winds 25 to 50 mph. Snow drifts 3 to 5 ft. Expected Coastal flooding also a problem. 1 to 2 ft total snow expected. Ending sometime early Sunday morning. Not good.

  12. I use the Palomar with braid. For fluorocarbon I use the San Diego Jam knot. as has been said, wet the knot and cinch slowly, so you don't burn the line.
  13. I use a Abu Garcia vendetta 6'9" MH/F Works very well for those applications/weights.
  14. While I have no clue which is the most nutritional.... i voted for bluegill. On your list, this is the only one in all the lakes that I fish.
  15. I dont use or know of one person who uses 15-20 lb. fluoro on spinning gear. i have used 20-30 lb braid ,possibly with a 15 -20 lb fluoro leader for what your describing. This for me is usually done with casting gear.
  16. Sometimes bass will try to rip the claws off before eating them as tom mentioned. you were reeling up your jig with no claws on the tralior. i have experience this and had to be more patient with my hook sets. it felt like they were throwing it around down there ( like pecking at it) trying to declaw them then I would get a larger thump and then procede to set the hook, it worked.
