Problem With Shimano
Daiwa and shimano are on par with each other. Daiwa makes a more expensive product while I think shimano makes a longer lasting one. I don't see enough reason to make the switch. Would be an expensive move for very little upgrade... I stay away from Lews. And I stay even farther away from Abu Garcia. And I put them on the same level

Looking For An Alternative
Try the Jackall Jockie, you'll be pleasantly surprised

Shimano Bantam
I had the bearings upgraded in mine and it cast a mile. Other than deep cranks, the 5:1 seems to slow for a light cranking rod, but i hear deep cranking is were this reel shines. they even made a 3:8 which i have no idea what someone would use it for but they are a rare find

Jerk Baits For Fall Bass
My favorite technique and I now have 2 rods dedicated to it. I'm curious how you guys fish a soft plastic jerkbait through the fall. Don't they fall a bit to fast for 45-55 degree water?

Megabass Jerkbait Fishing Questions
I use a spro 50lb snap and straight florocarbon. I don't remove the split ring. I haven't seen a difference with or without on the 110. But I do remove the split ring on the mini.

Looking For Other Jerkbaits

Spooltek Lures?
They work... But I really don't see the need nor do you get that solid of a hook set. The tail action is subpar to gambler big ez or a kietch style bodies. You'll have to close an extra "12 of wire on a hook set. The hooks ride exposed out of the back half of the bait , it's hardly weed less. The idea is pretty cool. I'll give it credit for creativity. But I found it hardly practical

Some Fly/jig Tying From The Past Few Weeks

Suspiciously Cheap Lures
They are garbage. Only buy known brands and inspect the pictures well. Unless we're talking about timeless classics. Like a cotton Cordell spot or something. You get what you pay for...

Sunline Fc Sniper Line Treatment
My BPS was out of KVD Line and Lure, I tried the Blakemore stuff, I spooled the line off onto a spare spool, and respooled it back on using rag with the blakemores soaked into it. (i use backing and only spool on 100 yards of FC at a time.) My first outing i did notice a big difference with the Blakemore's. I definitely could cast farther and it seemed to fly off the reel a better. I plan to give the KVD L & L a try and see how it works out, has anyone else tried the Blakemoore's? anything positive?

Sunline Fc Sniper Line Treatment

Sunline Fc Sniper Line Treatment
I have been using this line for the last 2 years and have loved the benefits of it. One of thing things I've noticed is on the 16lb size it seems a bit stiff after fishing with it a few times. Is there any line treatments or sprays you guys use that work well without destroying or ruining the line? Any suggestions?

Single Hook On Crankbaits.
I don't think there is going to be a difference between the single hooks and treble hooks as far as the fish being able to inhale your bait. Within reason. I highly recommend using the single hooks on you crank baits. You can even try smaller frog style double hooks as well. Owner and gamagatsu both make them small enough but they are hard to find. They work exceptionally well on a blade bait like a binsky or silver buddy... And save you money in the long run with less snags.

Triple Trout Problems
I used a suspend strip on the part of the body and it fixed the issue for me. The 6" tripple trout seems to sometimes have issues. never had any problems with the 7" and up.
