Floating Rat L Trap
Floating traps are awesome. But like previous posters they have problems running straight and casting. I use the Bill Lewis one. I'll throw it on braided line and use suspend strips or lead tape to help it track straight and suspend. Use small double hooks to help keep the, weedless and out of shallow muck. The hook is heavier gauge and will help weigh the bait down. usually work it on a shallow flat or around grass that's a foot under the surface.

Airwaves microwave guide, looking for a rod tip
I'm looking for a replacement tip for an enigma phenom 7'3 Heavy. EP73MB-H Is it possible to just pick up the tip? Rather than the whole set? What busted was the ceramic insert. I observed on mud hole that they do sell just the tips but I am unsure on what sizing I would need as enigma doesn't have those specs on there site

Valuable Rare/Discontinued baits
Pork will be worth something once old stock is all gone. Fishing lures generally only maintain worth to a select few of people who had success on them in the past. I use a lot of old baits that work very well that a few OGs have tipped me off about. I would, follow the bassmaster live .. You'll see a lot of pros throwing some old baits then saying they caught them on something there sponsored by. These baits end up,jumping up in price temporarily on the open market. Kind of like the Lure Jensen Speed Trap at the last classic.

Spro McStick
Just replace the hooks and move on... the bait works throw it at the same time you'd throw a husky jerk.

My creations
You have a gift. That craw crank at the bottom of your first post is fantastic. I'd love to buy a few for my Susquehanna fishing

What is everyone's tops lures for ice out bass fishing?
lipless crank, and a suspending jerkbait cant really be beat. great search tools and you ca fish them so many ways that can get you bit after ice out. If the water is oddly warmer than normal and ice is melting fast, ill mix in a glide bait for a chance at a big bite.

swimbait fishing for pond bass
If your allowed to, Fish at night.. In alot of big ponds, the fish will become spooky around the bank during the day, even on stock day they can get a little wierd. At night you will catch them with there guard down. visibility is lower, and artificial baits will look even more real to them. during the off season when they arent stocking trout, focus on that crawfish bite. you can catch some true giants on a chigger craw with a 1/8 ounce sliding sinker.

Bill Lewis Floating Rat L Trap...Not Floating?
Mine suspend. Or I add weight to suspend them. Look at the sebile flatt shad su. They are a silent alternative for a floating trap

Orange Belly
It works for the same reason a jerkbait with a purple top and chartreuse sides works. You have 2 contrasting colors that excentuate the jerkbaits more subtle movement. Most suspending jerkbaits have a side to side action that varies but all of them have a secondary action a rolling movement similar to a baitfish movement when feeding. With 2 contrasting colors it helps excentuate that secondary action. When orange in on a main forage species like yellow perch or crawfish. It's a given.

New Lures, Opinions?
I was rather disappointed with the hard baits. The fish do bite them..but it's hard to get a lipless crank and a popper wrong. The paint jobs stink.. They already had distribution due to the senko. Producing and putting out hard baits just upped there sales to distributors. Finding any real sales data would be a challenge unless you worked for a retailer like Dicks sporting goods. Or TW. the new berkley hard baits aside from the lame paint jobs (see a theme here?) work and are a worthwhile for the price. But I wouldn't have high expectations as any company that releases a lot of hard baits in a short time frame surely has cut some corners in the R&D.

Popular lures you've never caught fish on
Crankbaits. I have put time in. Bumping them off structure I still seem to snag stuff.

What kinds of lakes hold crawfish?
Crawfish are everywhere. And if they aren't. There is still freshwater species of Aquatic shrimp that live in most lakes as well.

Jackall Pompadour... who's fished it??
Go to gamagatsu's Website and order some double hooks for it. I suggest the 1/0 for your whopper ploppers and pompadour. It will help deal with some of the light weeds. I havent noticed any difference in hook up ratio.

Livetarget Hollow Body Sunfish?? reviews?
The idea isn't a gimmick. It's a great idea. The execution was poor. Here's the bottom side. The side the fish will see... the top could be white or bright yellow for all anyone cares. But if your trying to design a bait that looks like a dieing bluegill or sunfish the bottom side that the fish see better be right. They got it wrong. And on purpose too. im sure the bait will catch some fish. But not because it's a realistic bluegill...

Jackall Pompadour... who's fished it??
The bait works and excels. Jackall makes good stuff and it's worth the $. Get a binksy as well. Great combo top water

Livetarget Hollow Body Sunfish?? reviews?
Take it out of the package and look at the bottom side. When you see the shiny weight then you can decide from there. for a company who's entire marketing and design [ and price point] is based on lure realism... They did a tick poor job. I did not buy

Made some new hair jigs
