looking for a finesse spinning rod at a cheap price. fishing wacky rigs, drop shot, flukes, maybe shakey head

I am looking for a budget fish finder (around $300 or under.) I have been looking at "budget" fish finders online. I have looked at the deeper fish finder and it seems like a good deal but I was wondering if there were any fish finders I could mount to the boat that would be a better deal. I believe the deeper retails for $229. The advantage of the deeper fish finder for me is that I also bank fish and it might come in handy for bank fishing. I own a 14 foot jon boat so I don't really want or need a flashy $4000 fish finder, All I really need the fish finder to do is show me a map, depth, the structure, water temp, where the bait balls are, and where the fish are.

I am 15 years old and I think I finally have enough time and patience to make my own fishing rod. I have been looking on mudhole.com for rod building materials and blanks. I am starting with nothing, so I would like to know how much it will cost to start up building my own rods and what materials I need to buy. I have been looking at the phenix and st. croix rod blanks but there are so many different choices I can't figure out which one I should buy. I would like to make a 7'-7'3" medium heavy fast action rod. I also do not know how far to space out the guides and handle, or if it is my personal choice or they should be a certain length from each other. Any sources or tips you have would be much appreciated!

I feel bad that I have never cleaned my reels and I have owned them for about 2 years. How often do you clean your reels? Also what do you guys clean your reels with, I have heard rem oil and I have also heard grease. I'm pretty new to cleaning reels and I think that its an important thing to do, I have just never got around to it.

I have been looking around for a swimjig rod and it seems everyone uses different rods for swimjigs. I can't seem to narrow it down. Does anyone have a swimjig rod they love at a price range or about $100-$150. Also what type of line do you use for swimjigs

I just bought 30 pound test yellow power pro for my spinning rod. I was told by one of my buddies that it was overkill and that most people have 15 pound braid does it matter that much?

I have heard so many arguments about this and I was wondering which you prefer I hear 50 gives you more action and castibality than 65 but 65 gives you some more power. The reason I ask is because I hear so many different things from different people and I have broke off lots of fish and frogs with 30 pound braid not sure why knots were all tied correctly using palamor or double palamor.

action and power for all around crankbait fishing...everything but 15-20 food deep divers. so a rod for chucking squarebills, 5-10 foot crankbaits and smaller baits like a shad rap. thanks

can I use a medium moderate crankbait rod for squarebills or do I need a heavier rod?

I live in Missouri and I want to know when I can fish until before I start getting into the winter bite.

I do want the medium heavy! only problem is that I already have two and I don't have any other rods haha but I love the look and feel of the mojo bass

I had a medium fast model of this rod for a few days but after fishing it for a little while it wasn't what I was looking for power wise but I am wanting to try the medium fast for swimjigs do you guys think that's a good choice? I need some help trying to figure out what else I could use it for I have heard you can use it for everything but I tried that when I had it and it just didn't feel right.

I love their rods but geez are they expensive I know some people can just buy those rods but for me they are way out of my price range

I have an arid and for $40 dollars it is the best rod I have bought I have a few other rods in the $150 range and it sits up there with them it does seem to have more of a parabolic bend than it says on the rod
