Is my rod broken?
ok so obviously it's broken but what I'm asking is can it be fixed? The graphite blank itself is unharmed but the outside sleeve or what ever is splintering is broke. The rod can still be bent. I was wondering if there is something I can wrap it with? It's a 7'1 mojo bass and the splintering is about 6" from the top of the rod. Thanks!

Rod taper for swimbaits?
So far I like it. I've only caught two fish on it and they were both less than two pounds but it has enough backbone to set the hook on a savage gear 3D trout (5" model) and it is parabolic enough to still use baits like the river 2 sea swaver (120) those are the only two baits I have caught fish on so far. The taper is considered fast but seems to be more of a mf to me. Overall I'm happy with the purchase

Rod taper for swimbaits?
I've been wondering what taper I should have for swimbaits. Should it be more parabolic or a faster taper? Trying to get into swimbaits but having trouble figuring out what rod to get and reel and line. Baits are also up in the air not sure which ones to get. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Where are the fish! (Missouri/ Illinois guys)
I mostly bank fish but im finally able to make a whole day trip this weekend and I can't seem to find the fish. Are they deep? are they shallow? Are they spawning still? I don't know where to look. I've been fishing pads with hollow body frogs lol probably why Im not catching much. Anyways I am either going to fish Coffeen Lake in west central Illinois (power plant lake) or Little Prairie lake in Rolla Missouri, which is choked with some type of grass probably milfoil. I have no clue where to look for the fish at coffeen since its a power plant lake. There is grass (milfoil or hydrilla). Just looking for some tips on bait selection and where to look for them to help me catch a few more. Also is topwater worth fishing in the morning and evening? Thanks

High producing Jig colors for midwest??
Hi guys. I am on a high school budget with a millionaire mindset like most of us, (except im actually in high school). Anyways to the point. I am looking for a few jig colors that work the best or are the "staple" colors. I know black and blue and I think craw colors but there are so many choices and I need some help picking which will work best for my area. I fish Missouri and Illinois. Mostly small lakes when im fishing from the jon, and ponds from the bank. Mostly clear to heavy stained water. Thanks!

Good spinning reel for around $80
I just bought a mojo bass 6'10 dropshot rod and now I need a reel to match. I will primarily be using this rod for dropshotting but every once in a while I will be using it for other techniques. I am looking for a reel to match for about $80. Any suggestions you have on type of line and line size would be helpful but I am assuming im going to run 8lb test on it.

Where do you need to improve ?
finesse fishing for sure.

Hot Baits For Winter Power Plant Lakes
Forgot to mention this lake is shallow, you could still throw a 20 foot deep diver in parts if you wanted to though and it has stained water if that helps

Hot Baits For Winter Power Plant Lakes
no pun intended but does anyone have confidence baits to throw at power plant lakes in the winter? I had fished this power plant lake in mid july and did very well even though the water was very hot. throwing swimjigs and dragging them like a worm was probably the weirdest thing I have ever done, but it worked. Any ideas help.

Gliss Monotex Line ~ A Brief Review
I love the small diameter but I don't really want 24 pound test on my spinning reel, only problem is if you went any smaller it would be like tippet for trout fishing.

What In The Hell Is This
Probably just an alligator gar

Gliss Supersmooth Monotex Line
Not sure if this is new line but I have never seen it and im really interested in what it is similar to. Could I use it for frogs? It says it has a smaller diameter than braid. I think the 40 pound could be especially useful in clear water froggin conditions, or the Dean Rojas way of froggin. Let me know what you like this line for. I assume since it floats it wouldn't be much good for stuff fished on the bottom but I have no clue what is even looks like.

Xcalibur Lipless Cranks, After Booyah
Of all the places in the world I found some in my local cabela's. I am assuming they were before booyah because they are doing away with them now. I also found some of the squarebills that were not in the real craw color. Not sure why I didn't get some, foolish of me.

Daiwa Tatula Tactical Reels
Thanks I was hoping it would be smaller but there is really no way to tell without buying one or driving to California.

Daiwa Tatula Tactical Reels
I know tackle warehouse is advertising this reel as lighter but is it smaller in the hand? I love my original tatula but the problem is its too big for my hand and after a while of fishing my hands really start to hurt. It says the width is comparable to the TD zillion but I have no experience with that reel so any help you guys can give would be really helpful.

New Mojo Bass Rods
Has anyone gotten to handle one of these rods? From what I have read and seen it sounds like St. Croix really stepped up this rod and the materials they use, including the scIII graphite.

Help Me Identify This Spinnerbait!
They are good products but I just don't like strike king stuff that much anyways and kvd's name is on everything. It just makes it hard for me to buy kvd stuff.
