  1. Much appreciated! Any other advice?
  2. So basically, when I fish jigs[which is almost all the time], I use this style of grub jigs. Now, I see everybody here talking about getting these shaky heads and putting skirts on 'em and a trailer. I'm completely new to THOSE style of jigs so basically, for a "jig inclined" person, what should i look for at bass pro and what trailers should i get. I see the other threads and I see people using language i'm not used too when talking about this stuff so someone explain it as if you were talking to a pre-schooler. I almost always fish areas with rocky bottoms, any advice? Thanks!
  3. I could learn a little about frogs
  4. I mean I drop shot it. When I fish I'm almost always throwing to rock bottom anywhere between 10-13 feet.
  5. I've been out almost everyday in the past two weeks and I usually get solid bites at sunset
  6. I fish the frogs into open water on a flowing creek and haven't had any success yet this year. I have the booyah pad crasher.
  7. I feel like the jigs I use are wrong then. I just use regular ones with no weedguard or anything that can hold a big plastic
  8. Yellow twister tails on a jig almost always or a silver minnow crank bait
  9. So, how do you fish senko or finesse worms? I'm used to getting a tight line and putting my rod down to watch the tip move but I feel like nobody does this. Also, I bank fish
  10. Alrighty, I strictly fish frome the shore so idk how much that'll effect drop shotting
  11. Okay, appreciated. I see a lot of people using that Palomar knot and having the hook on the line but I was never taught that way. I have the hook hanging off the original line.
  12. I recently bought a pack of senkos, finesse worms and zoom lizards. I only dropshot with those and I do it from the bank. I have regular jig heads as well. so should I just hook it up, get it level and watch my line to wiggle as its kept tight? I see people raving about these things so I figure I'll give it a try. I also have eagle claw pre tired hooks so the hook stands away from the original line.
  13. Yeah, everytime I bring my bait in I see about 100 minnies racing behind me.
  14. If you can get a current and a nice little tail-race between rocks on the river, yellow twister tails on a jig will give you endless bass.
  15. That's crazy. I found out that they're carp for sure. It's hilarious seeing your lure literally run over their backs and they just twitch and act like nothing happened.
  16. Is it ever necessary to throw Pad Hopper Frogs into vegetation on a river or is that mainly a pond thing? I'm trying to expand into topwaters
  17. My buddy told me they might be carp too but it's been happening A LOT.
  18. I've been going to the same spot now for the past few days and see about 4 large fish surface and make a splash. The river is up and the area is loaded with vegetation and boulders so when I see these I usually switch to my Pad Hopper Frog & start throwing into the weeds but everything stops once I start doing that. Any advice on how to nail these fish when I KNOW they're in distance?
  19. I usually fish out into the rapids/fast currents during the day and catch quite a few but at night I can't get out to where I usually am just because of how dangerous it is. I have a hell of a time getting anything off the river bank/docking area. I just throw yellow twisters for a little and then switch it up but I just got a jitterbug again so I should hopefully bring some in with that.
  20. I've been seeing people talking about using a finesse worm as a trailer on spinnerbaits? How do you go about setting that up.
  21. Much appreciated buddy. I'm fishing outta' the Susquehanna and I mainly throw yellow twister tails.
  22. Thanks a bunch! Much appreciated
  23. I'm wondering the exact same thing as we just got a lot of rain and it's moving big time at my local river.
  24. I found this lure in my old mans tackle box today and he said he never uses it and I was wondering what it's aimed at catching? It's like a wooden looking jig with a brush over it? Also, I was wondering when you would use the spinnerbaits because I see the type of blades you use correlate to the water conditions? Also, what color skirt would go well with the buzzbait? I'm trying to get more acquainted! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
