  1. Yellow twister tails will slay 'em. I fish near Falmouth when I go so I usually get to the current or the rocks and find good deep places.
  2. Marsh Creek, that's over in Gettysburg, right?
  3. I have PB&J and Summer Craw and I haven't caught one with them yet and I've had em for at least a month
  4. How do you guys fish these? Let it fall and hop it back with a show retrieval?
  5. Appreciated y'all. I might up my current KVD to a 1.5, I'll remember these tips.
  6. I haven't really gotten into bullet weights before. I'm assuming they're the same as a splitshot?
  7. I don't use crankbaits that often, although the very few times I have so far this year--I've caught two walleye and two bass with a cheap bass pro tournament special. So this has lead me to wonder here -- with these specific lures I'm going to provide, how would you retrieve? Now, I usually fish coves on the river with very large, SUV sized rocks and snagging is a big risk. I also bank fish and there is no vegetation. If i'm not fishing the river, I'm usually fishing a lake nearby with adequate amounts of milfoil and small rocks[no snags]. Is casting out and just bringing back with a normal, "slow" to mid-speed retrieval good good or should I vary? Any information based around the cranks I have is more than perfect. I use 10lb mono also. Lure 1: Bass Pro Tourney Crankbait --> http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Crankbait/product/10225050/ --> the color i use isn't there but it has a yellow belly with a dark maroon top Lure 2: KVD Squarebill Crankbait --> http://www.basspro.com/Strike-King-KVD-Square-Bill-Silent-Crankbaits/product/10209675/ --> I got the 1.0 with Sexy Shad color Lure 3: Bass Pro Tourney Minnow --> http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Minnow/product/10225045/ --> I have one with a bright yellow top and white on the underside Lure 4: Bass Pro Tourney Rattle --> http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Rattle-Bait/product/10225063/ --> Red Shad Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I ask a lot of questions on here but I'm only trying to get smarter and learn new ways to get more fish on my line.
  8. Yeah, it's heavily fished BUT i'm pretty sure it's fished by incompetent people. Yanno, those kids who were never taught how to fish and just show up and lose 8 lures an outting by just throwing into the tree's, which should be impossible because they're about 20 feet straight up Regardless, I'm not sure if it's deep enough to use spinners. I threw out a squarebill just to see how it ran[was the first one I owend] and I was constantly bringing back random debris[leaves, greenish slime type stuff]
  9. So there's bass in this small pond and I'm just curious how you guys would fish this. It's shallow then gets deeper[obviously], I'm just not sure how deep. The water is usually pretty dark. Any feedback will be great!
  10. Any in specific you could recommend? These answers are great everybody, I appreciate them.
  11. I know they make all kinds of jigs with specific heads and various skirting but do they make such jigs with lighter weight such as 1/8? I fish yellow twister tails on 1/8 oz jigs, I just buy the super pack of 50 at Bass Pro but i'm wondering if there's anything better for twister tails. I get plenty of bites but I'm wondering if I can up my chances even more.
  12. Jig: Yellow Twister Tail Plastic: Senko T'Rigged or Wacky Rigged. That's what pulls me my fish.
  13. See, I never think about throwing under these docks when I go to the lakes and what not. Guess that's what happens when ya bank fish all the time; I forget to check things RIGHT along the side.
  14. Ah, are ya'll saying the bridge that leads along the side of the lake there? That's not a bridge, that's a walkway to the d**n[small area of water below the d**n is seen in a little square]. I appreciate the help everyone. I'm going to check out this app!
  15. Yeah, I know Jitterbugs are good; I have one but haven't gotten any strikes yet.
  16. The answers are great. I am trying to get away from topwater at night but it's hard for me to adjust. I have a bunch of black grubs and larger black worms, would it be smart to T-Rig those?
  17. I see a lot of posts about fishing during the day and early morning hours but how do you guys approach night fishing? Do you use a lantern, headlamp or do you have cat-like vision(lol)? What lures do you use and do you still target the same areas you would throughout the day? How do you keep the bugs away and what do you wear if it's especially humid?
  18. How would you fish this? I am not sure how to get Topographical Maps of the lake with depths and what not.
  19. i always have my old plano box with me loaded with all my stuff. I've been bank fishing since my old man taught me when I was younger and that's all we do. We work our way through the "jungle"(heavy trees and brush) to get a ways up the river then start climbing over SUV sized boulders to get out to the fast water and start slaying smallies & walleye. It's fun but when the water gets up it's impossible to get out there and fishing from shore is pointless because you're getting snagged every other cast.
  20. So I saw RoadWarrior, in the "Got 50 To Spend" thread, mention he has been jika rigging and having great success with it. Anybody have any information on this rig as well as the pro's and cons? Hopefully RW can post some insight in this, it seems like a great concept.
  21. So t-rigging is the best option here?
  22. I'm willing to promise you, any type of small jig with mister twister yellow twister tails. You'll be set, guaranteed. Rocks are your best friend!
  23. They sent me a shovel head jig, it's pretty nice. I just need to figure out the best way here.
  24. So you just throw it towards structure? I'm a bank fisher, I don't have a boat. I've just been throwing out towards the depth a little and bringing it back it like I would a frog.
  25. Today I got a pack of Z-Man, large floating worms. They're the ones with the rage tail type end, how would you rig that and get the best success with it? I'm asking as far as hook, etc. Also, I got one of these chameleon Yo Zuri jerk baits that floats....is walking the dog the best option for lures like this? It's pretty sweet, I must admit.
