  1. All these views and barely any responses, what's going on!
  2. Much appreciated basser! Another quality bit of information.
  3. For all the people posting about squarebills and other crankbaits, you should be teaching and shedding light in here!
  4. I need to have someone make me a rod like this, that's awesome. How much does something like that "generally" run someone?
  5. Timber Tiger, that's a new one. Haven't read anybody talk about those yet on this site so that's perfect. Always fun reading new information!
  6. I've said this in every other thread; Chartreuse Mister Twister Twister tails on a jig > Catch walleye and bass on 'em easily.
  7. Well now there's been a huge increase in mayflies which are apparently a good sign. It shows that the water quality is getting better so one can only pray, huh?
  8. I'd go with the ol' favorite, senko's. Green pumpkin' or watermelon.
  9. If you're looking for more information on specific types of lures - head over to the "Fishing Tackle" section and look up the [suggest] threads. I started one on top waters and it has some good information on there provided by some veterans on the site. The crankbait one is getting underway today. They'll receive many more answers soon!
  10. I just received my first chatterbait to my name in my LTB and it's the 1/8th one with a chartreuse and white skirt. Needless to say, I'm going to put on my favorite river lure; a yellow twister tail by mister twister.
  11. Perfect! That's exactly the responses that will help people learn. Much appreciated iabass8!
  12. Yet again, it'll give new users as well as some of the old vets a way to learn and 'teach' through their opinions The second installment will be on CRANKBAITS and your thoughts. Questions to Consider: What is your favorite crankbait? (who makes it, price, where you bought, color?) Under what circumstances will you throw any type of crankbait? How do you determine what color crankbait to use? What factors tie in for you? How do you set the hook when you know you've got a fish on? Are there any crankbaits that you've tried that you do NOT suggest? What techniques do you use for your selected crank? Name a good squarebill and in what situations to throw it! NOTE: QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER ARE QUESTIONS YOU CAN USE IN YOUR ANSWER TO SHED LIGHT AND MORE DETAIL TO YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS FOR THOSE WHO AREN'T VERY "KNOWLEDGEABLE" ON THE SPECIFIC TOPIC. NOTE: After all the topics are covered, I'll take a vote and see if any of the same lures were mentioned more than once and we'll get a community consensus. Could be interesting to see!
  13. No other answers? Keep posting up your favorite topwaters and what not to help inform other members. I'm about to post the next topic.
  14. Once this reaches like 5 to 10 more responses, I'll start the next topic.,hopefully that will be tonight.
  15. Thanks everybody! This is the exact direction this post should be going in and it's perfect!
  16. Have you had any success with any of the other colors of Cavitron[if you have any of the other]
  17. I have a few watermelon with red flake horny toads but no luck yet, gotta' keep trying!
  18. Thanks Basser! That's perfect.
  19. Topwaters, those are just questions you can answer within your answer.
  20. I think we should try and entertain this idea. I'll post a few separate topics about different types of lures and see your thoughts on the best and worst. It'll give new posters as well as vets on this site an opportunity to find answers and/or give their input in one place. The first installment will be on TOP WATERS and your thoughts. Questions to Consider: What is your favorite top water lure? (who makes it, price, where you bought, color?) Under what circumstances will you throw any type of top water lure? What do you throw when there's vegetation underneath the surface? What do you throw when there is duckweed or lily's on top? Are there any top water lures you've tried that you do NOT suggest? I hope ya'll think this could be a good idea. If so, let's get this going! NOTE: QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER ARE QUESTIONS YOU CAN USE IN YOUR ANSWER TO SHED LIGHT AND MORE DETAIL TO YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS FOR THOSE WHO AREN'T VERY "KNOWLEDGEABLE" ON THE SPECIFIC TOPIC.
  21. The two frogs I have don't walk right, they don't lay evenly on the water anymore. They position themselves basically vertical
  22. I uploaded this same pond a few weeks ago but recently, it's covered with duckweed and it's thick. I caught two today in about 3 hours[lol awful] and i'm wondering an effective way to fish and be successful in this. I was using senko's and a top water frog; got both my fish on a senko. It has rained the past few days so the water is relatively muddy as well. Any help is great!
  23. It'll be in the 70s here in PA this week, I'm sure I'll find this answer out haha
  24. I wish I knew anything about rods and what's a good price haha. Got some learning to do!
  25. "Location trumps color any time", that's a pretty good point. A guy at Bass Pro talked my ear off about how successful he was with the Smoke w/ Black & Hologram senko's so I caved this time around and bought a pack of 4" along with my Light Green Pumpkin & Small Red Flake in 5". We'll see how that goes.
