Balshy Fishing

After using 10lb Strenn Mono my entire life, I'm trying to break away. I use that with senkos and topwaters[which is mostly what I use] on my 6'6 MF. Then, without reading into it much, I purchased 12lb Strenn Fluorocarbon for my 6'6 MH rod. I will use that rod in cover, however--I'm realizing I don't like Fluoro that much. Is PowerPro my best bet for braid? Also, what # would be best...20#? I want to fish shakeyheads and other lures in cover with this rod seeing as it's a MH. EDIT: I should have added co-polymer to this list as well. EDIT 2: SPINNING GEAR ONLY

So, today I stopped at Cabellas after I fished Kaercher Creek in Pennsylvania and realized how much I miss this place. They had Cavitron Buzzbaits and Shake2's which I can't find anywhere but TW. Now, when fishing in this stuff What line and lure do y'all suggest? I really want to switch to braid but to be honest, I'm scared haha.

See, I bought a few jigs from Siebert...do you have any specific recommendations for shakeyheads from Siebert? I'm debating what I want to do. I'm going to start using the VilleCraw and Rage Bugs again. I'm not sure what else I should try.

Also, what weight for these? I'm having trouble deciding!

Which is better? Do I get the EWG, Pro Model or regular?

Still, the best place to get bass fishing advice so shoutout everybody on here! I'm about to put in an order to TW to restock! Any advice on a good shakeyhead to use? I've used the MegaStrike Shake 2 and can't remember how my results were. Are Rage Structure Bugs still producers? I only have PB&J left, is Summer Craw the other color that produces? I'm basically looking for jigs, shakeyheads and maybe a good crankbait and jerkbait. Basically, just suggest something I should purchase in every category here as far as bait goes and that'll help me out big time! Just upgraded to Fluorocarbon as well so I plan on getting some better results with shakeyheads! Thanks guys. Much appreciated!

So today, I purchased a 6'6 MH Spinning Rod by Abu Garcia Vengeance. I also purchased 12# Stren Flourocarbon and this is my first time using anything but mono. Any advice? Also, what does backing mean when it comes to my reel? I see people talking about backing their reel when using flouro. THANK YOU

So I will only be fishing with spinning gear. I want to break away from my 10-12# mono so what do you guys suggest? I currently have a 6'6 MF rod by Shimano. I'm trying to get something that I can throw into cover with no problem and rip fish out. Is braid the answer or is that Yo-Zuri hybrid good?

Well, yesterday--my light rod snapped when trying to break it free from some brush. It was bound to happen and it's honestly a blessing in disguise because I've wanted another rod now. Currently, I have a Shimano 6'6 MF rod. What i'm going to do is post a selection of lures I have and I want advice. If anybody could point out which lures would go best with that and then suggest another rod to buy for the others, that'd be perfect. Here's my top waters. From left to right in the back, I have a Heddon Zara Spook, Bass pro Series Popper, Hedon Popp'n Image Jr, A Sebile Flatbelly Walker, Heddon Super Spook Jr & a Rapala Skitter Pop. How would I rig this and with what hook & rod would it work best with? Here's my hooks. I'm mainly asking how much you guys recommend the shakey heads I have. Also, which hooks would go best with the Fathead? Which hooks up here would you use with Zoom Trick Worms, Senkos & Stanely Sidewinders? Any and all help would be great! I use 10-12 lb mono as well but in needing to purchase a new rod that is quality yet easy on money, I will be getting braid. Much appreciated!

Yeah, I use it with my worms. I've caught some good fish with it bass fishing and a few nice walleye. I'll get the exact specs here soon

So let me ask this question to poke more information here. Currently, I have a 6'6 MF rod and a 5'7 light rod. I need to juice up my arsenal, obviously. Which lures are BEST to throw on either set-up. Please, nobody say "no setup is good with those" lol

It'll give new posters as well as vets on this site an opportunity to find answers and/or give their input in one place. This installment will be on FISHING RODS and your thoughts. That's the type of answer I was waiting for. How underpowered is it? What do I need to get in order to make braid work?

So, since the lake I go to has some milfoil & hydrilla and I'm going to start fishing in lilly pads with the many frogs I have, can anybody suggest a type of braid or something strong enough to maneuver through this? I have a 6'6 MF rod. I've only used 10-12 lb mono on everything so I need some deep advice for this one! Thank you guys!

Thanks everybody! There's a lot of milfoil & hydrilla where I fish and it often floats on the top and I get so annoyed having to clean it off the trebles! I'll keep it going though

Has anybody had luck with this lure? I'm trying to figure out the best time and place to use it. For whatever reason, I've had terrible luck with topwater!

For starters, I don't think i've posted on here in about 4 months so it feels good to be back and read some stuff again. I went out today on the Susquehanna for about an hour and no dice. I threw a yellow twister tail and a spook on the top. Anybody have any tips on what to use and what not? I know the theme is to work slow but I just like more information.
