  1. River fishing for sure, not even a question! Nothing better than throwing into a current, bringing your twister outta' the rapids and getting slammed by a smallie.
  2. Haha, I know. I was just trying to be a real cheapo! I'm definitely ordering these asap. But here's my question, i'm unsure on how to purchase based on COLOR. What is a "favorite"?
  3. Are there any coupon codes available? Haha, I'm trying to get these today but I'm practically broke.
  4. So, I'm going to "expand" my lure purchasing beyond Bass Pro. I see all of ya'll talking about Siebert Outdoors and what not; what are some great websites to order good tackle from? I am going to look into Siebert Outdoors and hopefully buy a jig or two from there. I'm trying to figure out who(company wise) excels in what when it comes to spinnerbaits, jigs & cranks.
  5. So tell me, where do I go to order a pack of these puppies? Might as well invest!
  6. Where's Beltzville at in comparison to say...Harrisburg?
  7. I've been getting bites with the senkos and I have a pack of watermelon zoom finesse worms. When I catch bass/walleye with these, will I have to remove a deep hook or will it be more of a lip removal?
  8. I brought in two walleye yesterday before a storm rolled through here and I went back out today for a few hours and between me and the guy across the creek -- we pulled out at least 20 fish.
  9. Much appreciated all, I'm going to see what I can do tomorrow.
  10. I hear y'all. I fish em all weightless and can't shake em loose no matter what I do. I was hype though because up until today I haven't got any love from senkos so I'm now a believer. Yesterday was the first time I hit anything with a crank aand it was from the cheapo bin at bass pro. Things are looking up
  11. It was either a bass or walleye. I see the strike, I reel up slack, then a little more to confirm even more then jerk it up ward
  12. So, today; I decided to try to use my senko's more and I was throwing a watermelon with purple flake[or something, def watermelon] and was getting strikes left & right. Whenever I'd reel up the slack and go to set the hook, the fish would fight for a split second and then it'd come free. I'm t-rigging with the tip right below the surface and I'm wacky rigging with both gamakatsu drop shot hooks and worm hooks. 1/0 and a 3 size, somehow i kept getting snagged if I wasn't hooking a fish and the bottom is rock so I wasn't sure how to avoid that. ADVICE
  13. Jealous, only pond I went to this year and I saw 'em all but didn't catch anything. I feel like they watch me and as soon as I move from a spot, they surface and create some noise. Nothing like getting teased by a fish! Congrats.
  14. Much appreciated! I'm going to take a note of what y'all suggest the most and decide if they benefit the place I fish so any help is great
  15. Well, I'm going to restock my box tonight by going to BassPro and i'm sure I'll order some stuff online. I'm going to pick up at least one spinnerbait and two cranks. I have never used a squarebill and I'm not sure the difference between that and a reguar crank. I also have never used a buzzbait either so I'd like suggestions. Try to include maker and color and the lure type[spinner, crank, etc] I fish primarily in rivers with rocky bottoms. Also, I use 10lb line on a spinning reel, gives me no problems and I can land good fish with that. I'm excited to hear these suggestions!
  16. What color do ya'll recommend on the frog? I'm having a tough time deciding haha
  17. Haha yeah, I'm trying to figure out the best replacement for both to get the "best" outta' what i'm throwing.
  18. So today, I lost both my spinner & my boo ya pad crasher[don't ask how, I feel like a imbecile]. Anyways, what would ya'll recommend as a solid replacement for each? I only had one bite on the pad crasher so maybe you guys use something different? Any suggestions would be perfect!
  19. Finally, I went back to the flooded Susquehanna River near a bridge in a small pull off from the rolling currents. After getting a bite and seeing the fish come off as I was lifting him outta' the water, I got a bite. Cranked it in; tossed it back to see that he swam into the grass a foot off the rock I was on. I looked back down two minutes later to see it still in the weeds struggling. I took a small stick and realized that someone else's line was caught somewhere on it's head so I snapped the line and let the fish run free. Needless to say, I think my good deed allowed me to hook this one. Speaking of which, it came on a yellow twister tail - the ONLY THING i've caught anything on this year.
  20. Man, after that rain the water is WAY up. Its crazy
  21. So in clear water, what color spinners should you be throwing or what type?
  22. I might need to look into those here soon. Also, I do not scent my top waters. Am I missing something by not doing that?
