  1. ok so i just noticed one of the links i looked at was from icast 2013. also one of the rods was featured in this months outdoor life mag
  2. this evening is the first time ive heard of this brand. owned by *** but offers more budget friendly gear. they have a rod called candy apple that retails for 25 bucks and also have some baitcasters coming out and a hellbent rod for i think around 80 bucks. just wondering if anyone has heard anything about their stuff or plan to try em out
  3. u might like the cabelas tournament zx frog rod. ive got one 7'3 heavy. has winn grips for handles. feels great in the hands. regular price is 99 but should be on sale soon for 69
  4. u will like the I series. mine was super smooth out of the box. just a little overgreased. probably going to pick up another one soon
  5. i did pick up one "elite"model. may pick up one or two from the places mentioned in this topic
  6. are the zman chatterbaits no good? i picked up like 4 during the basspro sale.
  7. just ordered a scorpion xt1000. also picked up alot of stuff on clearance at academy- big bite baits cane thumpers,jackall flickshakes,a frog, assorted berkley/havoc at basspro.
  8. ^ havent fished the h20 frog yet but they had a couple models on clearance. got the sexy shad for 98 cents yesterday
  9. for those that got their scorpions in , what techniques will u use the reel for?
  10. just left academy sports. those ethos nano rods or whafever theyre called felt super nice. didnt realize they used fuji components. the micro guide versions felt great as well. anyone fish these ? decent sensitivity? intended on grabbing a carbonlite but think i might giv one of these a try

  12. awesome! is there any issues with braid in the micro guides on this rod? not sure if im gonna go with braid or a copoly
  13. thanks. did some more research and think im gonna go with the 7'. my local basspro still has plenty of new and old carbonlites so im gonna go with one of those
  14. which of these would be ideas for jigs? mostly 3/8 and 1/2 tho i did pick up a couple 3/4oz on sale.

  19. yea ive been wanting to try some of these japanese lures and what not but wanted to hear from some guys who hav used em before i shell out 15-20 bucks on a popper

  21. ^ gotcha. but is the 5: whatever ratio sufficient for this technique? along with a mildly sensitive rod like the bps graphite series i have?
