havent fished one but ive heard good things about the new Daiwa Aird reels. i think theyre around $69-79.

id get the tatula over the Lews if the size of the tatula frame doesnt bother you

i glanced at the reels to see if they had the curado 70 and didnt even think to look for the titanium. i may look into getting one myself i need a good 8.1 for flipping or frogging

did anyone get a chance to check out those new bps reels. cant remember what it was called. titanium or something

bait monkeys gonna get me. looked into those evergreen and deps frogs. will no doubt pick up at least a couple of those to try

last year i blew a good bit of $ there but this year the ONLY thing i bought was a terminator walking frog on sale for a couple bucks off retail. saw a bunch of folks grabbing the pq/carbonlite combo. other than that all i really noticed was the typical sale on some of the bps hardbaits and some plastics but nothing crazy.

i actually have the 674c endurance i picked up not long ago. i figured id use it for moderate cover in tight places

only thing about the max 3D is it uses the sk2 reel seat. not a fan at all. someone beat me to the dobyns lol

yeah ive seen where theyre updating the champion rods but i can get one of the older ones for a pretty good deal. i dont know tho the powell has done well for me and to me is quite sensitive so i may stick with it for now

thinkin of pre-ordering a scorpion as well. especially since the price is a bit less if pre ordered

are the champion rods sensitive compared to say, a powell max?. ive been using a powell max 683 for texas rigs the past cpl yrs and even tho its doin the job perfectly was considering upgrading. i can get a deal on a 684 champion and was wondering will i see a noticeable increase in sensitivity?

any fans of these?. wanting to get into fishing jerkbaits some. my local tackle store still has some xcalibur branded lures (i may go back and buy every one). but they had 4 xt3 left in ghost color i went on and picked up all 4. i know the megabass are probably the most preferred but does anyone have good success with the xt3's?

i used em last year. had a lot of success just fishin em like a texas rig mostly. 4/0 EWG with 3/16 tungsten weight. u can feel the vibration of the tail a little also. awesome worm im sure youll like it

i had a lews super duty. wasnt a fan. the *** or C are both solid options for sure.

love buzzbaits - war eagle and cavitron. poppers- don iovino and g splash walking- gunfish 95 aurora gold, duo realis 110 ivory halo i love topwater. have way more topwater baits than ill ever need but those are just a few of the ones i had good success with last year. the Duo is so good ill probably grab a few more in other colors. something about that sound

im gonna head up there today and looknaround. i may pick up one of the new 6' tourney special rods to use for topwaters.

get a combo from academy sports. one that uses their mettle reel

yeah im a huge fan of the E series. the I series was mentioned i have one of those as well but for whatever reason i prefer the E series. just wasnt sure if that was a deal or if they turn up a little cheaper sometimes. i dont need a reel at the moment but i may grab one anyway lol

can get one new in box for $166. jump on it?
