I fished the white ones almost exclusively for 5 years or so and people always laughed at me for my $1 spinnerbaits until I out fished them. I throw them in places spinnerbaits aren't supposed to go and when I lose one it's only a $1.

I rig my horny toads with a 5/0 screw lock ewg but I put the hook between the legs as opposed to through the plastic. My hook up ratio is phenomenal when rigged like this. Also I fish them like a buzzbait along Lilly pad lines

Hopefully these won't snap in half on 2lb fish..

Could try a swing head jig system with a plastic of your choice. I've found the rage bug puts off a ton of action when both fished like a jig and in a crankbait style.

Picked up 3 Lucky craft squarebills in a deal and they are amazing. Quality is too notch, they run true and fast better than any other brand I have used.

Sometimes I can catch 4-5 fish on one if the bass are inhaling it. However, if they are just nipping or short striking they tend to not last as long.

Throw a weightless t rigged senko in ponds like that, it almost feels like cheating.

I primarily fish spinnerbaits and almost never use a trailer. Unless you count a trailer hook, than I use one 100% of the time.

I bought the same rod and paired it with a Lew's speed spool. With the $20 rebate it's hard to pass up at the moment.

Pflueger President at $59 is probably the best value reel in that price range.

Every walmart is independent and has different sales. What others may have found may not be true for your local area, most assumed this is common knowledge.

You could look into a crankbait/treble hook set up if you enjoy throwing those baits

Picked one up, couldn't pass up the deal @ tackle warehouse

I'm looking at picking up a glass powell diesel and pairing it with a 6:4:1 Lew's speed spool for cranking. My only issue is the rod is a medium heavy and I am afraid it might have to much backbone. I will mainly be throwing 1/2 oz lipless and medium/shallow crabnks. With this tackle warehouse sale this is a hard combo to pass on. What does bass resource think?
