4.7 is pretty slow for crank bait fishing besides deep cranks, I prefer a 6.4-7.0 for my square bills because its just easier to use all day long.

Its preference, there isn't a right and wrong when it comes to gear ratios/IPT. I prefer faster reels to pick up slack line faster, whether that be a fish swimming towards the boat or me just wanting to get ready for another cast faster...

I use JJ's magic, but like mentioned above I don't think it "attracts" bass but I do believe it makes them think its real longer after biting, I use it mainly for the colors.

Same here, if I hear one hint of thunder I don't high tail it back to the ramp... But once it gets close, time to call it day or at least wait for the storm to pass.

Seriously though... Try to learn pitching/flipping with your other hand, I still suck at it but am getting better!

So far the diawa tatula is my favorite reel.... Its the best reel I've used for 100$

Almost everything in my tacklebox gets used a good amount, if I don't use it atleast weekly or a little less than weekly it gets taken out. Saves room on the little Jon boat I fish from.
